Can we have a conversation about indie authors and "smut"?
  • Yes, we are in an artistic lull (for what is popular lately).

…Yet still, some artists stay true on the path and create something cleaner and healthy… today… Honest and Brave.

    That is the actual Liberation.

  • we transitioned from capitalism to technofeudalism in 2008 and serfdom has only accelerated since
  • Respectfully - I don’t see how mega-mansions and huge-trucks could be considered ‘environmentally safe’.

And people should also consider the “social-impact of earning”…

since most mansion-owners “leeched” their money via white-collar jobs at exploitative corporations.

…In my opinion - the entire downstream effect of our choices must be considered.

(I write this in the spirit of unified awareness - I know you aren’t pushing for mansions or trucks)

  • Have any of you been able to reconnect with your inner child?
  • Yes - and I think connecting with your soul again means having real authentic fun.

Doing what you feel is right, and what you fully love to do.

  • Manifesting is just like praying. In both you strongly wish something to happen
  • A friendly thought for you:

If your beliefs can change your body (which is part of the universe), and your changed body can further change the universe...

then transitively... your beliefs can change the universe, right?

And if that is true, then perhaps belief can be more than a placebo... Maybe it is a real, effective, psychological muscle.

  • Manifesting is just like praying. In both you strongly wish something to happen
  • Be honest:

Who do you think is more likely to hit the game-winning free-throw?

    • a guy who looks at the hoop thinking “aw crap I’m gonna airball, and everyone is gonna laugh at me”
    • a guy who looks at the hoop thinking “okay I’m gonna swish this, and my whole team is going to celebrate”

Many top-achievers describe the power of visualizing success (positive manifestation).

Many people who pray are cultivating healthy virtues (patience, kindness, strength).

Have you ever heard the term “self-fulfilling prophecy”?

  • Great audiobook narrations?
  • Voice is the most important factor for audiobooks.

One narrator with a great voice is Tom Parker (aka Grover Gardner).

Here is his reading of The Dharma Bums (on youtube).

    hello midwesties
  • Anybody who gained muscle and lost weight(fat), how did you do it?
  • Machines are good too - you can really push yourself to maximum exertion (to where you are jello on the last rep of each set).

This 5-minute video shows the power of lifting intensity.

A lot of people who lift are just "going through the motions", instead of "pushing your body to the new limit".

  • hello midwesties
  • Have you visited the Midwest?

Which places in the Midwest would you like to visit?

  • Anybody who gained muscle and lost weight(fat), how did you do it?
  • What lifts are you doing?

If you focus on compound lifts (bench, chin-ups, squats), and push them to your limit, you will burn an insane amount of calories.

    • Hey - a lot of lifters would love to be in your position (you already have additional mass to convert to muscle!)

As for losing weight - my buddy lost 35lbs in 6 months, just by eating paleo (all natural foods).

On top of that, if you go for a full-sprint every day (or a mile jog), it will kick your metabolism into another gear.
