Secret of the plates

  • They cut out 7 tragic books in the Bible devoted to fly swatting.

  • Careful now, or it'll be 8 next time.

  • I was blown away by how good Balance of Terror was on my current rewatch. The tension, the strategizing - this is the kind of action that I find exciting.

  • Every woman's crazy for the gorilla-tuxedo look.

  • Back when everybody had to get their close-ups, lol. I think it was partly because TVs were small back then, and they wanted to show off clear shots of the stars.

My favorite is how every woman they meet gets the same shot, but with that "Vaseline smeared on the lens" effect.

  • Watching through TOS now - it's still so much fun! The characters, philosophical stuff, and dialogue are what makes Star Trek great, not the effects.

  • You know the answer in your heart.

  • Is anyone aware of any lemmy communities for running a home media server?

  • I fully expect to post my noob questions about Linux here on lemmy. Seems like the perfect place for it.

  • Finding a house in the country that's still within reasonable driving distance from city stuff is the dream for me.

  • I'm about to be in the same boat (pun intended). I think I'm going to learn to use Linux and set up a home media server at the same time.

  • Hey, it's the real Sailor Moon!

  • I heard that you had deleted it and posted in hopes it would find you again.

  • I saw someone move a pawn diagonally to an empty square once. I think my game must have glitched.

  • That seems awesome. I wondered if it was possible for users to manage at home.
