You've gotten yours by now, what do you think?
I did in fact, receive my Baldur's Gate 3 Collectors Edition package today, and I was totally and completely whelmed. It is exactly as described and visualized. At this point I care very little about any of it, but I do like the D20 as a (HEAVY) desk widget, and might switch out my GOT keychain for the BG3 tadpole. Want some Magic cards?
Anyone else have any feedback on the kit?
Anyone else (maybe in the US?) get this recently? Tracking says delivery Friday. Finally, a date; I was beginning to loose hope.
Your Artist Endeavor order has shipped
Good news!
Your order AE-########-#### has been shipped via ups and your tracking number is [REDACTED]. The following items have shipped to date:
1 of PC EDITION - Baldur's Gate Three (#######-PC)
I got another sad email today on the delivery of my CE. Still no tracking info.
>We are reaching out to inform you that your Collector's Edition order has shipped out from our facilities, however it has been chosen for random inspection by US Customs. We do not expect any issues, but we do recognize that this may cause a further short delay in getting you your awaited shipment.
>We're sorry for any additional delay this may cause and thank you for your patience while this is sorted.
Anyone else get something similar? Anyone actually gotten theirs delivered yet?
I have no doubt we will see this in the next 6 months. I haven't even made it to the city yet, but I can see this being amazing there.
I'll need to watch some PS5 streams to get an idea. I have no idea how this game would run on controller.
I did conjour a cat and run around for about 30 minutes with a PS4 controller on my PC, which was a lot of fun, but I was just dealing with the cat.
That sounds like an amazing experience. What's your audio setup?
That sucks! I have never even seen footage of split screen co-op. Anyone else playing split screen on the PS5?
Is there a good way to report any of this on the PS5? I feel like Larian maybe knew they needed the extra time on the platform, and I hope they are busy squashing some of these issues. I'll keep an eye on the patch notes.
Are you going to keep playing?
Yeah, I'm not exactly sure how to handle this yet. I think some organization or flair could help, but not sure what other features Lemmy has yet that could work here.
Do you have any ideas about how can we set things up so you don't have to deal with those posts?
I guess all I can hope is that you don't have to dash often? Thanks for the info.
I just realized I might have to start keeping bug fixes for PS5 as well. We'll see...
Who even are you? I'm confused; What?
Edit: That wad supposed to be a joke; rereading it, not really.
Thanks for this. I hope things look OK so far. (And minimal bitching!)
I think this will evolve over the next 3 months. We're working on a No Stupid Questions thread too.
Yeah, I do see the need for basic (No Stupid Questions) and DAE (Does Anyone Else) pins, but trying to not oversaturate the pinned posts at this point. Some sort of categories might help...
I skipped the past two hotfixes thinking someone else would post them, nobody did (afaik). I've tried to install a few mods and completely failed, so yeah, mods!
Literally the first time I've seen this site. Thanks!
We do have some people posting amazingly detailed builds here. And I want to link to bg3.wiki for more build guides.
We're getting some great memes, I need to figure out how we can flag/label memes as a filterable/sortable thing.
Yeah, I've been playing on PC since early access, but I can't imagine firing this up for the first time on a PS5. Wild times.
I did play with a PS4 controller for about 30 minutes, which felt AMAZING.
How is the game performing on the PS5? What were your expectations, and how were they met?
Also, what size screen & res are you playing on and in what room?
Things here seem to be naturally slowing down. Expected. @JimmyMcGill has been working to consolidate some of those discussions into pined threads. I still don't really understand how any of this works.
Content! Early access; Launch. Patches, hotfixes, builds. So many discussions. A lot of that seems to be generated organically from you all. Great!
What other content would you like to see here? As we settle into this game, I expect the conversation to evolve. At the same time, now that we are post-launch, I think we have a great opportunity to decide how that happens.
- What do you like about this community?
- What topics are relevant now, what should be pinned?
- What would you like to see here that doesn't exist yet?
I created this community when I left reddit; I like it better. I love this game, and talking and sharing with all of you. What's next?

Gale, Astarion, Shadowheart and Karlach are boldly going where every Early Access game must eventually go… to launch! Yes, this fearless foursome are venturing forth to Baldurs Gate, but it’s clear they hadn’t fully anticipated the changes Larian Studios would make to Baldurs Gate 3 between EA and 1.0. Mostly, they didn’t expect to meet new versions of themselves!
There’s someone new called The Dark Urge, Gale has a new face, Shadowheart has a new hairdo, and the high-elf rogue… well, he’s as beautiful as ever, which is why early access Astarion is trying to initiate a Baldurs Gate 3 romance with launch Astarion. Although, the old party isn’t long for this world: it’s all about BG3 launch content now!

I got an email from Larian this morning, with some disappointing news. I ordered the CE as soon as I knew it was available (Sept. 12th, 2022), so I think I was pretty early in the queue.
> We're reaching out to let you know your order of Baldur’s Gate 3 Collector’s Edition will be arriving 2-4 weeks after its expected delivery date of August 31. We apologise for this delay and thank you for your patience!
I was sad to get this email on August 30 when I was expecting delivery August 31 (tomorrow). I got an email and confirmed my delivery address on August 11th, so assumed everything was on track.
Has anyone else physically received their CE yet? Anyone else get an email with an expected delivery date? Anyone else get this email or something similar?
An ongoing analysis of Steam's player numbers, seeing what's been played the most.
For context, Larian Studio founder Swen Vincke predicted that the game could reach 100,000 peak concurrent users during its debut period, and that was a fairly optimistic prediction. I work in IT, and really feel for those folks. I hope they designed their infrastructure to scale!
And that's only Steam, not including GOG, or the influx of PS5 users next month. Let's take it to 1 million!
This page is a hub for everything related to Modding Baldur's Gate 3. Check out the following guides to learn how to mod BG3.
I didn't mess with mods in EA, but I'm tempted to give a few a try with full release. Specifically camera mods to start. Anyone using any mods at this point, and any you recommend or advise steering clear of? Thanks!
EDIT: I don't see anyone really using anything yet, so I'm going to hold off myself. I don't know enough about it to feel confident I won't jack up my game. Still hope to get some positive feedback regarding mods after release by someone here, so if you do use any and are happy with them, please do let us know!
How many of you have been playing BG3 on the Steamdeck? How many hours?
Would you agree with the GOLD (runs perfectly after tweaks) status it currently has in ProtonDB?
What tweaks did you have to make to get it to work, at what settings, and how was performance? Were you able to test any cross-save progression with PC or Mac?
Would you recommend this to others on a Steamdeck?
Any feedback for others here would be wonderful!

July 7th will be the final live Panel From Hell before launch on August 31st! I will dig up and link to the previous PFH's below.
Did any of you watch any of the previous ones? I'm pretty excited about it, and surprised that they are taking the time to do this with the crunch before the launch well underway!
I've played about 270 hours since patch 1 was released, and probably watched twice that in livestreams. Trying not to get burned out on EA before the release at the end of August. At least we are getting closer!
Sounds like they will be making some significant changes to the early content currently available when released, which is nice.
Have you bought the game already? Played it? Ordered the collectors edition?
I'll add to the list as I think of them or you comment yours below.
I'm a fresh reddit refugee looking to get a BG3 community going over here. Message me if you want to help moderate. I'll start dropping in content and links and hope we can make this a fun spot while we wait for the game to release.
How many hours into EA do you have? Go to race and class?
