Diablo IV | Season of the Malignant | Announce Trailer
  • For a reveal stream they really didn't reveal much of anything. Let's hope we get more info about the season mechanic like PoE does leading up to launch. Excited to get back into diablo!

  • What programming language would be the best to learn to develop a game from scratch?
  • This is the answer IMO. Godot is lightweight, easy to use, and free with fully open sourced communities. Check out GDQuest for tutorials. The best part is that Godot uses a programming language called GDscript which is based on Python. I've learned so much about programming best practices using Godot that it translates to my day job now when I need to use python. I cannot recommend it enough as a hobbyist.

As an additional point, Godot 4 just released and it is really giving Unity a run for it's money with features and capabilities.

  • What Fast Food do you love?
  • Shelby's Shwarma here in Canada. Hits different than Osmows and is a small enough franchise to actually still give a crap. I think they have a dozen locations in Ontario right now.

  • AMD Announces $230 Ryzen 5 5600X3D CPU - AM4's Last Stand
  • Now the trick will be getting one before the bots etc. All scoop them up. The 5800X3D in Canada is practically impossible to get at MSRP in my area. Here's hoping!

  • [MEGATHREAD] What did you buy in the Steam Summer Sale?
  • I force most games into 45 or 60 of I can help it. I've never noticed bad performance while swimming so I loaded it up and played for a bit. I was locked to 60 with no issues. Definitely fixed whatever performance issues they had.

  • Steam Summer Sale: Hidden Gem/ Recommendations thread
  • I feel this. It felt kind of half thought out. Was so disappointed.

  • [MEGATHREAD] What did you buy in the Steam Summer Sale?
  • I'm pretty sure it just left early access so the small discount makes sense. It's a stellar game and honestly much longer than you'd think with a game that screams casual.

  • Going back to extract brewing...
  • It's definitely a ride but a welcome and satisfying one for sure. Cheers!

  • Going back to extract brewing...
  • Wow are you me? I've been considering selling my equipment the last few months for this exact same reason. An 8 hour brew day isn't in the cards for me anymore with a 2 year old. I hadn't thought of swapping back to extracts. This would shave a few hours off the brew for sure. I made about 20 different recipes using extracts several years ago and noticed that the best ones tended to be lighter. I don't have any recipes since extract brewing is rather straightforward but after being spoiled with all grain for years I'd suggest sticking with ambers, cream ales, or similar. Always add a bit more hops than you would with all grain since extracts in large quantities can add a tininess that you want to control for. Thanks for the idea too!
