War is slow business
Loading pains seemed likely. Bethesda games have traditionally been on the longer loading side of things
[Disk] space, the final frontier.
![Starfield's system requirements have landed on Steam, and you're gonna need a 125GB cargo hold](https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/pictrs/image/bkDB0t5Uzr.jpg?format=webp&thumbnail=256)
This is a little unusual. Most games never explicitly say you need an SSD or a HDD - but Starfield does! This likely isn't a hard limit, as recommendations are often just that, but I cannot help but wonder what would happen if the game is run on an HDD?
Infinite possibilities
What matters most to a Klingon is not gender.
IT'S BEING WILLING TO DIE FOR THE GLORY OF THE KLINGON EMPIRE
Oh come on people, can't even wait to the release date?
In the early universe, the gas between stars and galaxies was opaque—energetic starlight could not penetrate it. But 1 billion years after the big bang, the gas had become completely transparent. Why? New data from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has pinpointed the reason: The galaxies' stars emit...

It seems the worlds greatest magnifying glass has done it again by proving the theory of early galaxies! I wonder what else can be discovered in these ancient galaxies?
Arizona will not approve new housing construction on the fast-growing edges of metro Phoenix that rely on groundwater thanks to years of overuse and a multi-decade drought worsened by climate change. In a news conference Thursday, Gov. Katie Hobbs announced the pause on new construction that would a...
There isn't much water to go around in the desert, and it seems Arizona is at least partially starting to realize this.
'This will be the closest you can get to a live view from the Red Planet.' It begins at 12 pm ET (1600 GMT).

Another great opportunity to get a close glimpse at the red planet
I hate it when that happens. When will devs finally un-woke WSAD?
Timberborn. Need to get my hydro engineering on!
The term has become an amorphous catch-all for anything the right doesn’t like, and they love exploiting that ambiguity
Never quite saw him saying that, but I guess a broken clock is right at some point. Woke has become the broadest, lamest statement that seems to have very little meaning other than thinking something is progressive.
Basically, woke means nothing now.
Don't get too excited for a sudden change in Trump. He's only saying this to piss Ron off
Crusader Kings 3
I understand wanting a walk-able city/town; it is what I want. That said, I've always got the feeling that some don't fully understand just how rural some areas of the world are. Places like Wyoming, Manitoba, or Alaska are going to be biased towards relying on your own transportation for the foreseeable future.
Though I wonder if there would be a future for some passenger rail between larger communities?
If I had to guess Reddit must be up against the wall to show growth - which is going to be pretty difficult if you already have most people who use the internet. They, like any other company with maxed out potential, are likely going to start their slow march to decline soon.
A little gross, but still another miracle of science!
Enceladus, a small moon of Saturn, throws a geyser of water 9,000km (6,000 miles) into space.

The moon Enceladus has been pretty active recently! The moon of Saturn ejected a large amount of water from its sub-surface ocean, which was caught by the James Webb Telescope.
The worst part about the ban isn't just the stigma, its all the financial opportunities LGBT couples miss out on by not being allowed to marry. This will hopefully do a lot to improve their lives!
Okami is a banger. Sounds beautiful and plays well
