What was the best performance by somebody not primarily known for their acting? #MovieDiscussion
  • Tricia Helfer comes to mind first. In Battlestar galactica. I forget the story but it’s something like she was brought in for her looks(they wanted a knockout for the first scene cylon). Then she went on to blow them away with her acting. She was a model before if I recall.

  • The lcd cables are problematic for sure. I’m learning how I plan to move the unit around to finalize how I will leave the slack in those cables. But yea. Work in progress there.

The big bulk of the mess is the power supply on the back bottom. I may relocated it to the top of the crt behind the speakers to hide it more. Custom length cables if I get crazy. Though I prob won’t.

One of the worse cables down low there is a coax for the cable modem. Hard and inflexible. I can probably 90 it off behind the desk from the wall to tuck it better.

Aside calling someone mate isn’t how you best make them.

  • These two roles for Gary Oldman are the ones that got me too. I was talking to a random person about Oldman as Gordon. And they said oh yea I really liked him in Harry Potter. I froze up for a second thinking through all the characters. Not finding him quickly so I assume he was a much more minor role. Some shop keeper or something. And then had to ask.

“He was Sirius black!” I felt dumbstruck, my whole face went loose as I realized. And I said holy crap! “From Gordon to Sirius to John Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg. That dude has some range”

The person I was talking to froze up and went loose faced the same as me. They didn’t know he was Zorg.

The dude becomes. He doesn’t act.
