Of all the coaches in the league, Lue would be high on my list of expected firings. Not that he is doing a bad job, but the Clippers must know that what they have now is not working. It is much easier to bring in a new coach than it is to bring in a new super star, even if a roster shake up is what they need.

It makes sense to take the offer (especially if it comes with a better salary), wait for your former colleagues to find jobs, get some feedback from them about companies, and then jump ship.
