Last weeks haul!
  • Yes! I think they stole the show for me with this bunch. Really excited to spend some time to take pictures soon, especially of the Submammillaris!

  • Went to a big succulent bazaar in Tokyo and brought home some new friends :)
  • I’ve told a few people it’s like collecting real life Pokémon 😂 The whole process is really fun & rewarding for me.

  • Last weeks haul!
  • I hear you! I’d like to move out of state at some point & that is one problem that’d weigh a bunch on me.

Goodness, with the Moonstones I recently caught on that I didn’t research what kind of climate it originated from! Happened to me a few times..

Acclimated them to the sun, had em’ out there for months and realized there was absolutely no growth whatsoever since I first got them.

I threw them inside about a month ago and it’s been blowing up so much! If I left them out I think they’d pretty much be dormant the whole year 😂

  • Last weeks haul!
  • I get a pretty great amount of light year round, I live in Florida, US. I personally hate the heat and blazing sun, but love that these get to take advantage of it!

I’ve been taking care of them for about a year now, last winter I moved them all in during the few nights we had temperatures under 35°F and would move them right back out during the day! Thankfully they’ve all handled it pretty well.

I do have a grow light for a Pink Moonstone I have & the little cuttings I try to grow & return outside!

  • Thank you for easing my concern a bit about getting my last batch 😂

Love these, my favorites are the tall one in the tan pot and the one on the bottom right! Does it have a distinct smell?

  • Last weeks haul!

Added a few new ones to the squad 😅 Will be relaxing a bit after having gotten these, feeling really happy with the diversity of what I have right now.

Three new specimens I was hunting for
  • These are… awesome 😮

  • The collection steadily keeps growing
  • Gotcha gotcha, I have a few of them like that as well!

They shall forever be shrouded in mystery 😂

  • Todays repots and the new homies!
  • Love catching them hanging around the plants, I need to be more prepared with my camera early in the morning!

  • Todays repots and the new homies!
  • No need to apologize! I can relate a bit, I’m often extremely forgetful!

Side note: Didn’t want to make a new post so soon, but I was excited to share this with someone. Check this out, managed to take this early today!

  • Ahh that llama is so coool! I really like one you have to the left of it in front, might you know what kind it is?!

  • Todays repots and the new homies!
  • Yep yep, I like the plain ones a lot! Most of mine are in them, and every now and then I’ve been gifted some ceramic stuff, those I drill holes through!

I think we spoke about the crushed glass before, haven’t we? If not, yes! Been using them to dress up the top of some of the plants.

The ones I used yesterday are a lil’ too small for my liking, thinking about taking them out. I do like the color of them though, nervous about them getting on the floor and in my foot 😬

  • I was hunting for a white Euphorbia Lactea Cristata for my wife's collection for a while...
  • Forbidden broccoli 🥦 These are so cool! Are those offshoots growing off at the ends up top?!

  • Cut one of my buddies for the first time today 🥲
  • Awwww yeahhh! They really blew up ☀️ Will be putting them in their new pots today. Really excited for the red to come back in!

    January of this year:

  • From seed to small cacti | Opuntia ficus-indica
  • No! That was extremely helpful, much appreciated!

  • Cut one of my buddies for the first time today 🥲

    ! !

Was getting a lil’ too top heavy for my liking, so I decided it was about time.

    !

Got it like this last year! Was one of my first plants. Love how much it’s grown.

  • Ahhhh! These look so cool, love how they’ve grown in the newer picture you uploaded. Were the seeds harvested by you by any chance?! About how much time would you say it took to get from planting to the original picture you posted?

One of those things in looking forwards to trying whenever I have some flowering around the same time.

  • Took a few new macro shots today!
  • Yessss, the low poly comparison is perfect. Exactly what I love about these. The little jewel name suits em really well!

This was one of the first plants I got when I started, I’ll put some pictures together soon. Love how it’s grown since then.

  • my Adromischus marianiae f. herrei
  • Just looked it up… that is a seriously badass plant.

    Lil’ homie hanging out!
  • Thank you! Caught it early in the morning as the sun was rising.

I believe there’s a few that have been resting on them at night, would love to catch a night photo at some point.

    Here’s a bonus baby lizard I got!

So happy to have seen this come back to life.

    ! ! ! !

Struggled with my Tokyo Sun from the beginning, was one of my first plants & I learned so much since then. The time period between the first and last photos are about 8 months!
