  • It's some sort of security (no cheaters). As a linux user I am a bit bitter because I wanted to play the new battlefield but oh well, my tendonitis appreciates that.

  • People sacrificing privacy for security, sad how much things changed this century.

  • Is everything Russian bad? I understand Ukraine not using anything Russian but the rest of the world?

  • That has nothing to do with "stop recognizing them as a country" and the west loses more by not allowing citizens travel (because people wouldn't be able to go to holy sites, it works both way).

And man, the EU can't even properly sanction Russia, do you really think they care about the middle east at all? Specially when not even the countries around care about Palestina.

  • Israel may have been a mistake in 1947 but there is no point in not recognizing them. They are there, they exist, you can't undo what happened in 47.

  • One of my users locked her Windows session and then signed in again, there, I rebooted.

Not bad, some people these days don't know to lock the windows session.

  • PP is "right" wing and PSOE is "left" wing (current party leading a coalition of right parties -PNV- far right parties - Junts - and left parties - Sumar, Podemos - and others). They vote the same stuff on European Union so I don't think there is much difference anymore.

It's just crazy it takes 8 years to process this case and it's not over yet and they do it now? At the lowest point of the current government? Too oportunistic, almost as if they had it "on hold" until it was needed.

In Spain we do a lot the "yeah these ones are corrupt but the other ones too!" which is a pointless debate, they both are corrupt and should be banned from politics.

I haven't seen any thread on lemmy about the corruption of PSOE but I guess that's my fault, I could have posted them.

  • This case has been on the works for almost 8 years, it's just hitting news now for obvious reasons.

For those that aren't up to the news in Spain: the current party in government is ridden with corruption cases, two of the number 2 of the party had to quit or being force to quit.

  • Except he lives in a yatch and has his own gym, probably people that cook for him too.

  • Keepass is as secure as you make it to be, you can use derivatives like keepassXC but some have had insecure bugs (they still need access to your password db file)

  • We are the Riggs (Lethal Weapon) of the universe. No one wants to get close to us, we are unpredictable.

  • Me too, but I don't consider what I pay for "free" and I pay respect and value a lot what costs me money too.

In fact I wouldn't mind paying more taxes for even better services.

  • Just pointing out it's not free. That's how you get government official saying public money belongs to no one.

Edit. I never did the math on which costs me more money but it's around 2k for public healthcare in Spain per person, but my employer pays for my private healthcare (if I add another person is about 40€, including dental which public healthcare doesn't cover everything), but also if I have to get surgery they would send me to the public one...

            Total population: 41.684
        National Population: 28.780
        EU population: 977
        Non-eu population: 11.927

39% crime increase in 2022, 4,1% increase in 2025. 10,7% increase in robberies, more sexual related crimes.

The population has grown over 60% since the start of this century. Most of that immigrant population is from Maghreb. Some are illegal but the exact number is unknown. The current protests began when 4 illegal immigrants beat an elder man.

  • You pay for your doctor visit with taxes. It wasn't free.

Europe is a big place, France is in heavy crisis because of their debt. Torre Pacheco in Spain has some immigrant issues (almost 30% of it's population it's non-eu immigrants)

  • Speaking of european news I was in Southeast asia when the Spanish blackout happened and they didn't report it.

  • First you doubt the claim. Then you attack the source, now you find excuses.

Did they or didn't they increase almost 200% the acquisition of energy from Russia in 2023? Is the Russian Federation a major provider of gas and oil for Spain (and other European countries) or not?

If you notice I am here only to point the hypocrisy of Europe, which they undoubtedly are and Spain is no different.

I don't know if you work for a company with business in Russia, I did when this whole thing started and contracts didn't matter much when sanctions came but I guess we weren't big enough to make excuses.

  • For reddit I use RedReader, I don't know if that will be enough for you tho.

  • Same percentage as the real world so good representation.
