I don't agree with the ruling, or the sentiment, but making edibles is a periodic process. Smells once per week is a lot different than pot smoke several times per day, every day.
If they are banned on their home instance, then are they banned everywhere? Does it work like an email address, where if your hosting server (Gmail for instance) bans your email address, then you can no longer send or recieve emails?
So if your home lemmy server bans you, then how could you ever post anywhere else?

Over time Lemmy may gain a much wider audience, but as long as it has enough users to be entertaining and informative, then it will be a good alternative to corporate social media.
