Hmm, seems like the way to conform with this - is to post clear instructions on how to open a lemmy account and access the relevant community here instead - then the community will really belong to themselves, right?
(If a move to lemmy is going to work, we need to make sure that clear instructions are provided, and there is an easy map of existing subreddits over to new lemmy communities/channels.
Okay, so I have just spent time faffing about and getting access to this, instead of prepping my session that is starting in an hour.
Time to crack out those random tables again.
I posted in reddit how to get this working... Others may find it useful to have it listed here.
(this is on android mobile) (not included the click by click, as likely you will find the correct buttons yourself)
- Create an account with lemmy.world
- Do not use autofill/copy pasting when filling in the account information
- Wait for the account verification email to arrive and follow the link (took about 20 minutes max for me for the email to arrive).
- Log in to lemmy.world on the lemmy.world website...
- Search for !dndnext@ttrpg.network (set everything to All where possible).
- Subscribe/book mark that one. 7.If you want, install the app Jerboa for Lemmy.
- Make sure you set your instance (Lemmy.world) and account details in that.
- It will automatically know you have a subscription to ttrpg.network dndnext
