  • I don't trust Microsoft not to flip that switch back when I'm not looking.

  • The domain I use professionally is simply my full name. Then I use a catch-all so I can give out a mailbox specific to who it's for. Often that looks like YourCompany@MyName.com That way if I get spammed I know who to blame.

  • If you're making the switch anyway, get yourself a domain name from a separate company to run it through. That way in the future you can keep using your domain even if you switch mail/web-hosting providers.

  • Then there's VRChat which uses AntiCheat, which is basically a rootkit for windows..

  • I'm so glad I degoogled my phone already. Fuck Google!

  • They've been getting harassed regularly since this all started.

  • Same. VR is the only reason I've still got a PC with windows on it.

  • There's been a lot of progress in 15 years. This would be a good time to give it another go. Mint is stupid easy to install along side windows.

  • all the learning resources just kinda assume you understood wtf it’s doing.

    Welcome to the linux community.

  • This order will be ignored like everything else. And WTF is this 60 day deadline? The whole thing was constructed in a week! What a fucking joke of a country.

  • And why the fuck is windows always "preparing" to do something!? Are you generating a record of my activities to phone home with? Just do the damn thing!

  • On the computers I still have running windows, this is what I'm using and I have dodged So much of the bullshit people have been dealing with. I'm still running Linux on my main machines though. Maybe by the end of the year I'll have migrated everything away from both Microsoft and Google.

  • I've been wondering this for most of my life. That shit is barely even food.

  • I'll use it eventually when I'm mentally prepared for the disappointment that comes with shopping at that place.
