Ok being Australian does explain a lot. I appreciate your candor and conversation thus far. I am not sure how people are politically in Australia so forgive my ignorance but in America both the Democratic and Republican party wear their party as a badge and often a staple of their personality. Unfortunately it has become a " You're with us or You're against us" mentality which helps no one when it comes to talking about issues. Right wing supporters here will go to the grave believing or too stubborn to recognize these people are indeed crooked. Just as the Left will support Hunter Biden even though he is fairly scummy too.
In short, the political bias in America is strong and people dont like to change their mind or admit they are wrong.
I would agree to a point since we are both knowers. However, for the Trump followers this may portray innocence since their perspective is different from our own. And just like us they have a bias towards these kinds of things. I agree they do look quite manic.
We can smile in driver's license photos but smiling in a mug shot is a psychological move. Whenever you see someone frowning or straight faced in a mug shot you have a perception that that person is bad because they look mean. A smiling person seems like a happy person or someone that is likeable. This is why smiling is infectious. It's seen as a positive thing. More impressionable people or easily deceived people will not think twice about it and fall for it. What matters is that you see it and not just in the mug shot but in all aspects of life.
While I understand your sentiment life is not as black and white as that and some people cannot just stop everything they are doing because they are sick. I believe there should be more protection for people who are sick so they can recover.
Unfortunately any extremist views and actions seem only to cause harm. If that energy was focused towards more helpful notions we would be in paradise by now.
That is exactly what I pointed out but people can't take criticism and cannot have a civil conversation. I had to recuse myself from the replys because they were just people attacking and trying to belittle me as a person or my opinion. Or people literally just cussing at me. We all know these are the ways to change someone's mind.
I understand the political stuff. I made a comparison that the Democratic party is very similar to the Republican party in a few ways and ended up getting a death threat. It's a cult I tell ya.
In quite a few ways they are similar. Both parties get money from the rich, attack those that have different view points, believe themselves more enlightened than the other, don't keep most of their promises, lie to get what they want, throw fits when they don't get what they want, try to divide people on issues, have zealots, and start to do stuff right before elections come up. Ultimately they are the same with minor differences in views that are taken to the extreme by few loud people.
Honestly I bought it a week later to make sure it wasn't a lemon. I am glad I got it though. My wife and I play it together and it's the first game in a long while we both enjoy and play together. It has been over a decade since I have been this time invested in a game and not regretted it later.
