  • That's not super true. We've been friends with various Middle Eastern countries over the decades, including Iran (especially during the reign of the Shah), Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan. We've worked with all of them.

  • That was one of the things that excited me most about the fediverse was seeing the possibility of things like a pathfinder instance, with a bunch of related communities in one place that can also interact with the rest of the fediverse. I wonder what happened. Too bad we can't contact the admins.

  • True story. When the colonists showed up in the New World, you think the natives would've all banded together against the "alien" threat, but instead the invaders were often able to leverage historic fueds and tribal animosities to get the different groups to help fight each other. I at least know this happened in some instances in South America and Africa.

  • It's so obvious it's like 50% bots now 😭. A couple smaller niche subs are still good, i like the DnD 4e sub and Meet Your Maker subs for example, but it's not worth going through Reddit to get there. Wish we could switch all those communities over here but it's hard.
