  • Time blindness is the same. It's just all a scrambled mess. The only way i know when something happened is by memorizing some bigger/world-wide/huge event which i can google to know when it happened.

As for the past memories themselves. It's just a collection of some random facts, not even details. Just the assumption of "i was there", maybe which people were there and the rough memory of the place where that thing took place and using that i can recreate or more like use imagination to create an artificial memory. Though the vividness of it is actually under debate which was pointed out to me by someone from aphantasia community that it might actually be conceptualizing.

Basically like reading a book which describes an event and then adding myself into that event. There is no difference between my memory and that of imagining a scene described in a book, though the books one could be better as it gives more information to work with.

  • Severly deficient autobiographical memory, I can only retain factual information, no lived through experiences. Though what facts get saved and what i can recall at any given moment is completely randomized and out of my control by the ADHD side.

So there's basically no functional or reliable memory to speak of.

I am almost the embodiment of "living in the moment" because for me there actually doesn't exist anything else, as soon thinking part of my brain shuts down or is inhibited by some drug.It has taken me years to implement additional layer of thinking to take past and the future into consideration as something real.

  • Yeah sure, liposuction exists and you should be able to recover in a month as well. GLPs exist as well, but you wouldn't lose that much. With laxatives you could lose enough body water as well, not bodyfat, but still weight.

As for avarage person, under normal circumstances and doing it sustainably. Basically no.

The 5 miles of walking is roughly around a full sized Snicker bar. "You can never outrun a bad diet"

Losing roughly 1% of bodyweight per week is the upper limit of sustainable fat loss.

Though a month is a good timeframe to make a start. Don't think of it as dieting as it will give you an expression that your doing it temporarily, see it more as a lifestyle change. First start tracking your weight. 2-3 times a week, under same conditions aka first thing in the morning after taking a leak, use avarage numbers. At the same time reduce the amount of beer your drinking, just an easy way to reduce caloric intake without a hit to nutrient intake. After a month see how the bodyweight has shifted, at first probably quitting beer is enough to start it to shift downwards, then just keep it up and have patience. Weight loss is measured on a scale of weeks to months. Personally i lost nearly 15+kg over the course of half a year by just quitting beer and not even doing anything else.

  • That makes sense, thank you for elaborating.

  • Fair, heart rate, weight and height would be considered as medical records. But meds? How can it figure that out if i don't specifically tell it?

  • Hitting the gym again and again and again.

Today is chest day, just few weeks to months away from 2 plates for reps.

  • I have a fair excuse right now, the washing machine broke and i have to wash some laundry manually.

Though i generally let the autisms side need for routine to so the clothes washing.

  • Just curiosity. How the hell is US medical system set up that it's even possible for a company thats not in any way related to health have acess to medical history and meds?

Like my countries medical system is fully digitized, but there isn't even a way for a random company to acess this information.

  • Yes, i kinda forgot that.

  • But then come in the geoguessers and based on other clues will figure out the exact location, probably within few minutes.

  • Fair, good point, yeah it would need some regulating mechanism to make sure that the gird can keep up and to make sure that medical advancements are safe to use.

  • No, not really. It would limit beneficial advancements in technology as well.

Like crossing over to renewable energy sources and advancements in energy efficiency or battery technology. Thanks to EVs we have progressed significantly in that department within last few years.

Or medical advancements, covid and mRNA vaccines are probably a good example.

  • My own custom mix. I always eat it for breakfast and when i don't have to cook for others. I don't know what it's called. My wife refers to it as disgusting fuel.

100g of Quick oats, 200g of yogurt, 30g of protein powder.

Easy to make, easy to eat, decent macro distribution. Consistency and taste can be very easily altered with different ratios or different yoghurt or protein powder.

  • Because i doubt that anyone actually has the power to change it. There's always going to be some level of discomfort. It's impossible to avoid it completely, better to just get used to it.

  • Welcome to life buddy, just suck it up and keep going.

  • Yes, I've seen some of those marbles that haven't spinned for a while and top of it is dry.

  • Talk about it. My washing machine that was just 2½ years old, luckily within extended warranty period, had worn ballbearings. Those were luckily replaced, but it took repair shop and required paperwork 2+ weeks to even come and pick it up, they did offer replacement machine during the repairs.

That wasn't the worst part, i could still run the machine as the ball bearings were just starting to wear out.

It came back from the repair shop and 2 bloody weeks later another part failed, a fucking simple sensor and the machine no longer runs at all. I removed the side panel and i can see the sensor, 2 screws and a simple plug. I'm not going to contact the repair shop and insurance for that, it's going to take them longer to get back to me than it does me to find a supplier and order the part myself. In the meanwhile I'm forced to wash my clothes by hand.

Though that made me realize i need to buy a spare washing machine and keep that in the basement for when main one breaks again.

  • I have alexithymia, I'm as surprised as the next person when some emotions decides to flare up randomly out of the blue and then I'm left wandering what that was and why it happened.

Though from the outside perspective, im regularly described as one of the most chill/apathetic/non-caring/calm/nonchalant person they have ever met. So i guess there isn't much to regulate at all.

  • Simple solution, i just don't own any of those toe warmers that want to be socks.

  • oh those ones, completely forgot that one. I've heard about those, but only in theory. I'm not sure i have any practical knowledge or perspective of those.
