  • Unknown for all, i can't give any estimations without looking up at least some rough ballpark.

  • Same, daily or regular movement is rather important to manage or at least reduce the effect of hyperactivness.

Personally I've found resistance training to be rather effective at burning off extra energy. Cant be hyperactive if muscles and nervous system are annihilated.

I've noticed the same effect on my daughter(diagnosed pure ADHD). On the days there's more active movement, she falls asleep faster and it's easier to maintain focus on boring activities in comparison to days where there isn't much moving around.

Though what I've noticed over the years of cutting and bulking(calorie deficit and surplus). Hyperactivity goes into overdrive when bulking, increasing NEAT(non exercise activity thermogenesis), basically i cant sit still regardless of training or eat enough during work week to put on weight. Fridays weigh in is always around 0,5-1kg lower than Tuesdays weigh in.

  • I haven't actually told anyone, only my wife, that i have auDHD. Others thinking I'm just slightly odd is good enough. Though yeah I'm fairly sure it would go over exactly like the meme says if I'd ever reveal my diagnosis, because many of them do think only the high support needs or level 3 autistics are actually truly autistic, rest are just faking it.

  • Yeah i do enjoy lifting and it is the main highlight of my day, so yes i would prefer a decent lifting session to finding 20$ in the pocket of my jacket. The overall experience, the routine nature of it, the strong emphasis on self reliance and having internal locust of control with it and being exhausted afterwards does feel kinda nice and calming.

I wouldn't say i have a favorite lift. I have preferred lifts and a subsequent list of replacements. While majority of primary lifts do have some reasoning behind why those lifts are chosen, but as I've gotten rather comfortable with the point of where i can't lift anymore then it's rather easy to just do one off replacements when the gym is full while maintaining similar end result.

I'm not that Expressionate individual, so i don't really get giddy or happy over anything, but my wife has said I'm more calm/relaxed and in a slightly better mood after lifting sessions.

  • Yeah i had the same when i started TRT. It was the strongest when i was allowed to do injections at home. First few home injections went kinda badly and had severe PIP(post injection pain) and that created the hesitation.

What helped for me was to minimize muscle tissue damage and over time the hesitation diminished, unless i try to inject into ventrogluteal site. Never figured that one out.

    • Using a smaller gauge needle, from 23G to 25G.
    • This limited the rate at which i could inject too and that reduced PIP as well.
    • Lowering the volume of med injected, though had to balance that with higher frequency of injections.
    • Keeping around 24H between leg training and injection. Last time i trained legs right after injection and my glute(ass) was in debilitating pain for a week.
    • Never reusing the needle. Once it already went in it's dulled enough. Like stabbing it in half way and then pulling out. Not trying again with the same needle, but switching it to a fresh one before trying again.
    • rotating sites. Currently left and right glute, seems to be enough, but if I'm ever going to venture into steroid territory then i probably have to add in delts as well.

Of course it took some hesitation even after that, but as each fix reduced PIP. The hesitation slowly went away.

  • App Idea

  • That's a recipe for a disaster. Better to just quit already than wait for the inevitable and get fired.

  • Noup, because LLMs give out avarage based on the training data. If training data is shit, like Netflix's avarage content already is, it will always give out shit.

  • Badly, I'm automatically against any change. Though it depends how much I'm affected by that change.

Yes I'm fully aware that some changes can be good. I'm still against those on the principle that all change is bad, but i will suck it up for the first few weeks to months until it takes me to get used to it and push through if the change has some overall positive effect.

So i don't like change at all. It's rather stressful, but i can push through it if necessary. Just don't expect me to be in a good mood or get any positive feedback on it for few weeks to months.

Though, screw grocery store rearrangement. There's no forgiveness for that one.

  • Cant say I'll reframe you're viewpoint, but I'll at least share mine.

Depending on a lift i generally aim for 5-10 or 8-15 range, though it's not that set in stone and first set of any exercise will always be with higest weight and sometimes most reps as well.

I mostly aim to repetition range because my coordination sucks, yeah training has improved it, but it's still bad. So with sub 5 rep sets it's more likely that my form breaks down and i just hurt myself with bad form. With higher rep sets i can maintain better form even up until the last reps.

I do agree that it is kinda harder to gauge reps in reserve this way. It might be more noticable with pulling exercises when it starts to get harder and harder to maintain full ROM and eventually it becomes half repping. I just call it by that point. Or with squats when the Barbell no longer goes up and safeties save me, but still oftentimes the target muscle just refuses to work anymore.

Overall, i just don't even try to gauge RIR or RPE and i actually doubt that it can be accurately gauged by most people.

I just took the angry yelling mens approach form YT, Greg Doucette and his slogan "Harder than last time" and just try to beat last times numbers, of course while maintaining form, rep speed and ROM as consistent as possible. Reasoning is that i cant grow linearly indefinitely, so eventually ill just reach close enough to failure.

I just assume im close enough to failure to trigger growth, because lifts are going up over time and muscle size is growing over the years. So i guess it works.

  • I love it, exactly because it triggers introspection. Even if I can't change anything, at least I'm aware of any shortcomings and might be able to compensate if necessary.

  • please connect to the internet to do anything

  • Lift, resistance training is my happy time. Yes i do lift with intensity, it's not miserable. On the contrary, it's quite enjoyable experience.

  • Old but gud

  • Brod is looking dope.

  • I do agree, it seems completely meaningless and do nothing. Like why are you doing it? What's it's supposed to do? Just whats the point or purpose of it?

So i just say ok(acknowledge that i received the information) or thanks(activate basic social script) and move on, depending how close to the person i am.

  • It's already rare for me to find movies that are worth the time to watch those and I don't really like to watch movies due to it being rather too passive activity. So, i just pick whatever movie I'm willing to watch and it's up to the other person to put up with it.

  • Washing machine broke, again. So that's absolutely always ticking in the back of my head.

In addition i got a new person to teach at work, absolutely nothing against her and it's only for a week. But it does disrupt my standard routines during a time when something is already taking up my limited bandwidth and im not that social person so face to face social interaction is always draining.

In addition, because everything creates a chain reaction, due to lower social energy. I'm more withdrawn/distant/closed off which triggers my wifes anxiety and overthinking and she becomes very clingy

And all of that makes my movement disorder to flare up almost a month before treatment. That's a self feeding loop already in of itself.

On a positive note. While I'm lifting, the movement disorder subsides completely and that motivates to train more and harder and thus numbers move up faster.

Luckily the replacement part came to storage box today and i can replace it tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it works. Technically it should work as the error code corresponded with this piece, but I'm always preparing for the worst.

Though i learned my lesson from it and im buying a backup washing machine. It's most definitely easier to crarry replacement washing machine up from the basement than to deal with the stress of not having any and washing clothes by hand.

Oh, and my fucking favorite gym water bottle broke. It was a 3,8L(1gallon) aluminum canister.

All of that is layered over by the heatwave which is already draining enough without anything additional added to it.

Edit: just my bloody luck, it didn't work. Switched out the sensor and still giving the same error. Fuck.

  • ?

  • Time blindness is the same. It's just all a scrambled mess. The only way i know when something happened is by memorizing some bigger/world-wide/huge event which i can google to know when it happened.

As for the past memories themselves. It's just a collection of some random facts, not even details. Just the assumption of "i was there", maybe which people were there and the rough memory of the place where that thing took place and using that i can recreate or more like use imagination to create an artificial memory. Though the vividness of it is actually under debate which was pointed out to me by someone from aphantasia community that it might actually be conceptualizing.

Basically like reading a book which describes an event and then adding myself into that event. There is no difference between my memory and that of imagining a scene described in a book, though the books one could be better as it gives more information to work with.
