  • Yeah fair it is arbitrary, but the line in the sand must be drawn somewhere. So coming from PC platform and 59,99 being the agreed upon number for probably decade or more is a good enough arbitrary point to use as a line in the sand.

  • On the other hand, the corpos don't have the upper hand, they have to make a product we're willing to buy. We always have the right not to buy it and should use it more often. If any brand makes a bad product or sells it with too high price, we should fully use our right not to buy it. Not accept it, begrudgingly, and buy it.

I have done it multiple times over and no corpo hit squad has shown up to force me to buy anything. Even much more easier for digital goods as we can always sail the high seas. While yeah it hasn't have had any effect on the overall market, at least i have a clear conscious and refuse to become a victim of corporations.

More people should use this right, we are not helpless victims of corporations.

  • Let it be my $80 $59,99 of the game to do with as I want.

    Never forget, never forgive.

  • No need for someone else, I'm going to talk myself out of it.

  • Thanks, ill give those a try.

  • Good idea actually, i should go backwards in time when searching movies to watch instead of just hoping that something new gets released that's barely worth the time it takes to sit through it. There are decades worth of good movies to watch.

  • I wouldn't really want to, by now most superhero movies might as well be produced by ChatGPT. The overall genre is completely overplayed and has become just a manmade slop.

  • Yeah i figured first part out when going through other comments, so cant really say im that clueless anymore.

What about the second part, "acting" without any skill at acting? She's just a bad actor?

  • Still gives me the chills even 15 years and countless mornings later.

    • "We have arrived, and it is now that we perform our charge. In fealty to the God-Emperor, our undying Lord, and by the grace of the Golden Throne, I declare Exterminatus upon the Imperial world of Typhon Primaris. I hereby sign the death warrant of an entire world, and consign a million souls to oblivion. May Imperial Justice account in all balance. The Emperor Protects." *
  • I'm on lemmy and have no idea who you're talking about or what views.

So yeah most people are still going to watch it and not even be aware of the controversy.

Before anyone starts to accuse me of supporting something, no I'm not going to watch that movie as it seems to be just another superhero movie and those ended with infinity war for me.

  • Just push through the moment and eait for it to pass. Luckily nothing is permanent, so it will always pass. Just gotta push through it, step by step, minute by minute.

  • Yes and no. I do think about what i say or what subjects to talk about, but at the same time once the actual talking starts. Theres no plan or actual thinking, it's more like subconscious and intuitive, yes sometimes i am surprised as well what comes out. Though most of the face to face talking is limited to just information exchange.

But I've found a patchwork fix for it, sort of. There are safe subjects and talking patterns to use with each individual. This way i can limit the random outcome of what i say and what those words do to a predictable range.

  • Resistance training is probably the biggest one currently. At first it was just for health reasons as i was getting overweight, but over time(almost a year) i started to like it more and more until now it could be qualified as a hobby.

I really like that it's something that heavily depends on me and has very little luck in it.

  • And that's why i don't delay chores, those must be done at the first opportunity and there's no one coming to do those for me, it's either me or no one else. So those must be done and are at the top of priority list. Regardless of how tired or bad I'm feeling, because otherwise, i have to do those with interess at more inconvenient time.

  • One single module, aka one chip on the graphics card. A graphic card can have multiple chips/modules. Like 5x3gb modules making the total of 15gb of VRAM.

Usually the black chips placed just around the actual GPU chip.

  • I've done that one as well or generally just aim for low oc occupancy times. Google maps and it's popular times feature works decently for that. It's much more nicer experience to do already something that's stressful when I don't have to navigate people as well.

  • That's the point why AI based drones are getting popular or why that tech is being developed. Those are immune to jamming. Those operate on their own, detecting and eliminating targets.

Area jamming was effective in the beginning when drones were radio or any wireless signal controlled. Then came fiber optic cable based ones to counter the jamming, but those do have a limited range and still must be operated by someone. Now we have/developing AI controlled drones. Immune to jamming, similarly to fiber optic controlled ones, but no need for an operator to control those after releasing.

  • That seems to be the hardest part for way too many people to accept.

"You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world."

So every single political or even many daily decisions people make should be from the perspective of how it effects/works for the avarage person. "But i'M spEcIaL", no you're not. None of us are.

That's completely unfathomable to me, why or how do so many people think they are special?

  • Tears of happiness is such a rare thing that it has only happened twice in my life, at the birth of both of my kids.
