  • (FYI, by raw numbers Minecraft is still the #1 popular game. Not relevant to the discussion but a neat statistic. It's kind of mind boggling how popular that stupid block game is)

  • Most shoplifters do so out of necessity and desperation because society failed them

  • On another note it's kind of nearly impossible to really at all decouple yourself from society. Even as a literal homeless person who is denied every single benefit of society you're subject to the poaching by tax agencies (I've been there. Imagine building up radio tax debt when you are literally live on the streets).

  • Palworld gameplay isn't even remotely similar to Pokemon. Its basically Ark Survival that just so happens to have plagiarised pokemon designs instead of dinosaurs.

I kinda wish they didn't go such overt plagiarism in terms of design because then Palworld could be a nice game on its own

  • Your teaching professor likely misinterpreted the fair use doctrine's wording. Apparently this is a common mistake. I made sure to look this up.

  • Men will blame anything else for their problems before ever admitting that toxic masculinity might be the cause of their problems

  • The graphics argument is so weak anyway as Palworld is basically a more watered down ark survival with worse graphics and a pokemon esque design philosophy.

  • It's also tbh very much just "Super Mario Bros but more" in terms of well... Everything. If you like SMB1 and want new levels, play SMB2 Lost Levels.

  • Wow!

    Jump
  • Nooo I swear this isn't plagiarized from Microsoft don't you see it's totally different? See? The resolution is different and the hue is too! This image has rounded borders yeah it's totally original!

  • It's reminiscent of "wario master of disguise" which imo is good enough

  • Certainly won't fly in Japanese courts

  • I would upload the dudes files but they're MP4. Any good way to upload those to Lemmy? Or a good third party service you recommend I can link here?
