I don't get the hate either. It's a perfectly cromulent show. It innovates within a franchise, while paying homage for its predecessors, without derailing into fan service/derivative nostalgia porn. That's a hard thing to accomplish.
And I see the critiques and while they're valid, they're mostly "this show isn't a masterpiece", which yes. But fucking Virgin River got renewed for a sixth season, it makes no sense to not renew this one.
I thought there was some guideline on MgT2 on how to cheapen an article if you're buying it at a higher TL location than the item. I might have hallucinated it though.
But it followed common sense: if you're buying a TL10 thing in a TL13 planet, it'll be cheaper than if buying it on a TL10 planet. The kicker is by how much. And I don't remember those details.
I'm down for some sci-fi. I just don't have appetite for fantasy. Roll20 has listings for many systems, there's discord, there's startplaying.games for paid GMs.
That is perfectly possible, but it's another friction point on my way to enjoyment, you know? These oracles are supposed to spark your imagination, not give you homework. I'm not saying it's a bad product, it looks like it's good for fantasy and adjacents, it just doesn't suit my needs.
