  • Uhm... There are so many other flashlights with aux LEDs. Sofirn, Wurkkos, Fireflies, Mateminco, just as an example.

  • Using gitd tape would just cause another tint in the beam. It has aux LEDs, that's enough locator for me.

Not sure why you don't see the post. I checked right after posting it and it was already pushed to lemmy.world.

  • As an indicator at night, low work quite well for me. With the latest firmware it is possible to use the aux LEDs to blink out numbers (like battery voltage). It is also possible to use the aux LEDs as a separate channel in all modes. With these features the high aux brightness isn't that bad anymore.

  • Awesome job! You should be hired by flashlight manufacturers as a freelancer, although I think these drivers could become very expensive and once the manufacturers start substituting components it's efficiency could decrease.

  • After some trouble with the federation I'm finally able to see this post on this instance...

Thank you for the giveaway, I'm in!

  • Li-ion batteries must be in carry-on. You can't monitor checked baggage or respond to fires in the cargo bay.

  • What beamshot do you like to see?

  • Thank you for the update! Really curious about the H150. I hope they will release it soon.

  • Yeah, they are inductors used for switching converters (and the one on the left is a real monster!). @thefreeman@lemmy.world is known for high efficiency drivers, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

  • Ist mir auch schon aufgefallen. Manche Posts kommen gar nicht, andere erst verspätet. Bei Kommentaren ebenso.

  • Only CRI 80? That's not enough to really enjoy the sh... I mean, inspect and clean.

    Does it have PWM?

  • You're talking about the 519A version, right? At least the beam pattern of the H04 shouldn't be affected much due to the diffusing optic.

The H04 can be opened easily by removing the screws holding the bezel. The M150 is easy as well, just unscrew the bezel itself.

  • Convoy 4X18A with XHP70.2 has a boost driver.
