HailCorporate: Call Out Corporate Astroturfing on Lemmy
  • I’ve never understood why people gush over Linux as a windows replacement. Why yes having to manually search for drivers for every product known to man and not being able to run even a fraction of what is on steam sounds like a fantastic time!

  • Im still undecided about if it looks fun though
  • But at the same time, the human enemies are ones locking pals in literal cages who you can free. And none of the pals actually die when you are out fighting them in the world, they just pass out with Xs over their eyes. (Just don’t unlock the butcher knife)

Really the game lets you treat pals however you want, from never using them for work and doing everything yourself, to full on brutal working conditions. Choice is yours.

  • Totally mad
  • I work in support and can confirm I generally want to make people happy. Unless the person calling is an asshole, in which case they get the bare minimum and some shit talk in the work group chat.

  • An advertising industry worker's take on adblockers
  • To be fair I do use the basic level of protection, ad blockers and what have you. So if they are trying to influence me with ads, well, I’m not seeing them.

But I don’t go the full 3 layers of ad block with a pihole and a VPN.

  • Uncanny
  • The anti working class might be a bit of the stretch, but for the rest, they say as much on their website. They don’t like:

Critical Race Theory, Males in Girls Sport Leagues, COVID rules, carbon caps, illegals (they mention illegals 3 times), abortion, and my favorite one “Fossil fuels being phased out”
