  • As much as you would like to portray all Israelis as fascists and violent settlers, that's not true. The Israeli defense people tend to be moderates.

Israel could not sustain its level of development with a majority of the population being fascists and crazy religious people. The monstrosity is the center right's alliance with them, embodied by Netanyahu.

Germany can help moderate Israelis to wiggle free from this monstrosity. Few other countries have suffiently close ties to do this (USA, not happening).

  • In many circles, cannot criticize "leftwing" opinion leaders who show solidarity with Hezbollah, the Mullahs, and other authoritarian regimes. Because they are the only ones who care about babies in Gaza. All the others are imperialist, white fools.

  • With all the problems you describe, and I agree they exist, solving them will require more labor. Streets, solar panel installations, education, better public services, IT services.... All of those require more labor, more work. It's a part of the solution but not the only one.

  • The volume of labor is one of the few levers to create growth, next to investments in assets, education and product innovation. Economic growth is paramount, so good on them to take this unpopular but effective measure.

  • No matter how much a carmaker pivots to EVs, they will fire up to half of their employees. EV production is much simpler and requires less labor. Add to that the static demand and increasing supply from Chinese competitors.

This has nothing to do with a far right outlet. Please don't try to diminish the value of my comments by insinuating that they reflect some far right position. They don't.
