  • It's Scary Movie 2 that really tickles me with its good hand.

  • I think the important answer to this question is that enough of those who were questioning Biden's age/fitness to the effect that he would lose the election are now willing to vote for Kamala to the effect that she wins it (knocking on wood til I put a hole through it).

  • A couple YouTube channels I regularly turn to:

The Exploring Series - He does read throughs of SCP files and Lovecraft stuff, as well as other things. His voice and inflection are excellent for being calming, but not hammy like a lot of sleep story channels.

Astrum - Astronomy and physics related material. Also an excellent voice for this purpose.

Otherwise I sometimes just pull up a dungeon synth album that has the right mood that I'm feeling for the night.

  • Sucks is the wrong word. You just don't like their music. They certainly don't suck. Like them or not, they are undeniably talented.

A pedantic argument, admittedly. A spade is still a spade.

  • There's a rule against that, yeah, but it's easy to get around the rules. All he needs to do is get one of his colleagues to scratch it for him.

  • 😳😳😳

    Jump
  • This is better. I'm never having kids, but if I did now I'd really want an MRI scan of the little darling.

  • It's the best remedy I've tried insofar as it's the only thing that has worked as any type of preventative, and the only thing that has disrupted a cycle for me. It doesn't work as an abortive, in my experience, but it beats every pharmaceutical I've tried in every other way.

Sourcing it has been an issue, and it sucks to open yourself up to criminal offense for not wanting to live in pain, but we do what we have to do.

  • I'm an episodic CH sufferer. No other pain comes close in comparison. You're not alone, brother (if I can make that gender assumption given your user name).

  • Tom Hanks is the best I could come up with given brief consideration.

  • Deli-sliced turkey, muenster cheese, honey mustard, and my home-made pickles, on wheat.

  • Depends on how good they are at it. If pedestrian drech is all they have to offer I'll spin 'em dizzy and set 'em straight. If they've got art, game recognizes game.

  • I did that thing where I lied on the internet. The preamble was there purely as a setup for the greatest joke of all time.

  • I always pictured mammoths being more docile: disinclined to charge. Didn't realize they could be more of a wooly bully.

  • Beta testing a system update. Lots of improvements here. This beta has been open for quite a while, and it seems to be catching on. It's already more or less stable. I expect mass adoption with somewhat regional distribution at the 1.0 release. Of course you'll have the stragglers insisting the out-dated version was better. In comparison I find it clunky, restrictive, and demanding. Our processing power has increased in orders of magnitude; why we'd want to keep using an archaic way of doing things like this is a head scratcher.

  • It would be very on-brand, and probably entertaining, if these two send absolute bottom dollar lawyers to represent their case.

  • Yeah. While I think it unlikely enough that anyone from the Vatican is using the fediverse, I think I'm safe in completely dismissing out of hand that anyone with the official capacity to represent the Vatican is here posting about their dissatisfaction with the Olympics.

  • This is mostly me as well. The only difference is that I've pretty much stopped drinking soda. Everything else is accurate though.

  • Pro tip: Have other people do the scratching.

The only way to become a billionaire is to exploit the labor of others.

  • Excellent movie. A great one to sail the seas to find. Hasbro can still eat it for that horse hockey they tried pulling with the OGL. I haven't forgotten; I won't forget.
