TIL I can give people money on github, also didn't realise I already have github account so that made it easy
Seems very culty
I have just the mouse problem but it's such a big deal that it's making me look elsewhere. If it didn't have this problem I'd have absolutely no complaints
I did mess around with sunshine a few years ago but couldn't get it working, I think that was when it hooked into geforce experience so might be time to revisit, thanks!
Parsec would be my go to, but they're missing Linux host support from memory, only able to use client
Hi Friendos,
I am looking for recommendations for remote access software to access my server and see its GUI. The server is running Ubuntu 23.04 with KDE Plasma. I chose 23.04 as I have an Intel ARC card in there.
The machine that will be accessing runs Arch Linux with KDE Plasma and an nvidia 4080.
I have tried VNC but can't stand the latency, and up until now have been using NoMachine but for some reason I am getting some quirk where the mouse will get stuck in a left click state and my only way to get out of it is to reboot the machine (not ideal for a server).
Any recommendations on what to use, or how to fix my problem would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm happy with Lan only options too, as that is where I do 90% of the management from
100% this, nvidia may be scumbag dickholes, but I've never had any problems with simple gaming on Linux with nvidia.
I got it for $3.75 and I'm at something like 2700 hours. Completely destroys the dollar per hour ratio of any other game
People brag about Android? I've not once heard anyone bring up what type of phone they use unless contextually relevant or asked
If its any consolation to you, some of them wound up dead instead!
I never noticed any because Aussie.zone isn't federated with it, took me a while to realise this, just thought there wasn't any porn here yet
And I thought Zelenskyy was supposed to be the comedian
I really hope the Australian government tells the Florida court to fuck right off
Fair point, call me uncultured but the only one I've ever played before this was Heat
I tried the newest one this past weekend and hated it. The fact those stupid cartoon effects can't be turned off is ridiculous
Put the boots to her, medium style
Good to know, I've just ordered a steam deck and if I find that I'm able to play everything I want on there, I might even move my main pc across.
The only real game with anticheat I play is csgo and with Cs2 imminent, I can't imagine valve would lock Linux out on that.
I made the mistake of not getting rx7000 series so I guess I reap what I sow.
As someone who hasn't tried to game on Linux but just use it as a server with my old pc hardware, dealing with nvidia shit is just a massive pain in the ass.
I was only using one monitor and yet it'd never pick up edid properly and other random quirks.
I chucked an Intel arc in there for av1 encoding on jellyfin and after getting to kernel 6.2 it also "just worked".
It's amazing how much of a difference it can make when the manufacturer gives even one quarter of a shit about Linux.
Some absolute mad lad(lass?) just commented on the git issue that they're now working on it
My smooth brain can't unlearn pressing back to close an image that I've opened. Is it functionally possible for the back behaviour to have a toggle to change it from going to previous page to instead close the image in first instance? Enjoying wef wef so far after coming from rif!
