The thing is: Germany doesn't, for years that is (yes, the actual deliveries are public 😉)... Unless you pretend that air-defense, air-defense corvetttes, torpedos or submarines (all ongoing contracts for many years, too) are somehow used against Palestinians.

They do, they don't, it's all the same smoke screen to keep you occupied with nonsense.

Friedrich Merz did not decide or change anything. He ist just throwing out another diversion for you, so you won't discuss the obvious corruption and destruction of social systems while enriching himself and his rich buddies.

Das ist aber doch ein völlig anderes Thema. Der Artikel handelt von angeblichem Linken Bashing von Rechts und aus der "Mitte"...

Wo von du redest, und wo von wir statt dieser typisch deutschen Scheindiskussion tatsächlich reden sollten, ist aber der ständige und verbissene Kampf von Links gegen alles Linke außer der exakt eigenen Position. Und da die Taz bei diesem immer gerne vorn mit dabei ist, verwundert es auch nicht, dass gerade hier wieder eine typische "aber die bösen bürgerlichen"-Nebelkerze erscheint.

Ein Artikel über "Linken-Bashing" wäre allerdings überall glaubhafter aufgehoben als bei der Taz, die so tut als wäre sie links, dann aber ständig von Grün bis Links außen lautstark gegen alles und jeden wettert, der gerade nicht 100% der Ansicht des jeweiligen Autors entspricht... und dabei auch gerne neoliberale und Rechts außen "Argumente" nachplappert, wenn's ins Konzept der "völlig objektiven Kritik" passt. 🤣

But that is exactly what is happening. After Merkel the CU did a massiv leap to the right and spend the last 3 years parroting every far-right lie and narrative thus painting the picture of those morons actually being right and having a point.

And given that it happened right after two small parties (Greens and FDP) banded together after the last election to see who is given them the better deal in government building it's hard to believe that this is a coincidence. They realized that they are going to be meaningless no matter their own votes if they don't find any common ground with other parties so they helped grow another (far) right-wing party, democracy be damned...

What government?

He spend years ranting about the former governent's uselessness (the one that did more work in 2 years than the usual C*U-led government in 8...) and making big promises... only to break them all within weeks of the election (some of the big ones even before becoming chancellor).

So what we got is yet another perfect example of right-wing populist reality: Making a big show of rolling back progress made by the former government as a diversion from all money gifted to his rich buddies while also silently keeping all the former government's neccessary but often unpopular changes he was most outspoken against. Sadly neither reality nor economy actually care for culture war bullshit.

It's basically "We are in power again so now everything will magically become better while we do nothing but enrich ourselves". And their brain-dead voters see no actual problem. Sure... they criticise the (obviously non-existent) results, but will still vote exactly the same again, like they do every single time (for reference: C*U lost only about 1.something % or so in polls since the election).

So one in five doesn't do proper backups. That's much better than expected... 😅

Isn't that the whole point of containerised solutions? Having some pre-setup, auto-updating solution with very little requirement to dive into the details like what your database is and which dependencies you need to manage...

TL;DR: Deutsche Wähler nach wie vor geisteskrank und benennen die Parteien, die spezifische Probleme verursachen, als diejenigen, denen sie die Lösung zutrauen.

Correct answer for basically every country: far-right extremists and the hardcore neoliberal capitalist right (that will happily cooperate with the former if given the chance)... constantly pushed by bad foreign (to destabilise democracies) and domestic (to enrich themselves at the expense of democracy) actors^(*).

^(*): bonus points for US tech bros often matching both categories

No science advisor will pay our corrupt politicians better than lobbyists so why have an additional position to get pointedly ignored 100% of the time?

When in countries that took in huge amounts of refugees, in countries that fought hard to not take any, and in countries that don't even have any meaningful of immigration at all the narrative of how evil immigrants are to blame for everything suddenly is running wild at the same time everyone with two working brain cells should be able to see the organised campaign of desinformation and plain lies.

Sadly people stupid enough to fall for it have already proven to not match that "2-working-brain-cells" requirement and will keep helping far-right populist liars to find their own society...

But in reality a huge part of the human population is insanely stupid and wants Trump and every likewise morons endorsed by him.

Also wie immer: keine relevanten Konsequenzen für Beleidigun, Lügen und Hetze und eine "Strafe", die in ihrer Winzigkeit nicht einmal als symbolischer erhobener Zeigefinger gelten kann.

Naja, grundsätzlich haben sie Recht.

Der Streit über Klimaziele geht in der Tat an der Realität vorbei. Denn dieser angebliche Streit ist eine verdammte Scheindebatte, unterstützt von Propagandaschriften wie auch dem Handelsblatt ist, um von einer scheinbare Balance zwischen Wirtschaft und "Klimaschutz" (immer zu Gunsten der Wirtschaft natürlich...) halluzinieren zu können, während das tatsächliche Klima für Profite zerstört wird.
