Coding After Coders: The End of Computer Programming as We Know It

  • Caffeine is an addictive substance.

If you are used to drinking coffee and don't have your daily dose, you will feel terrible. Some people are very sensitive to caffeine and may experience anxiety.

I'm a caffeine addict so I'm biased here. I should perhaps reduce my coffee intake and switch to tea. I just can't get my self to do it.

However, studies found coffee is not actually a dangerous addiction:

    https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2026/02/drinking-2-3-cups-of-coffee-a-day-tied-to-lower-dementia-risk/

  • Across the United States, zoning codes require new developments to provide a minimum number of parking spaces, which carry substantial construction costs.

In this report, we use 2025 construction cost estimates from Rider Levett Bucknall to calculate the cost per space in 17 U.S. cities and combine these data with local minimum parking requirements to estimate how parking mandates increase total construction costs across building types.

We find that parking construction costs have risen substantially faster than inflation since 2012 and that required parking can account for a large share of total project costs—adding tens of thousands of dollars per housing unit and, in some cases, increasing total construction costs by more than 50%

  • You should know this because one of the reasons Trump’s been trying to use to justify this war is that Iran never said they wouldn’t pursue nuclear weapons.

Iran doesn’t want to get nukes

You think a religious dude that just gunned down tens of thousands of his own people is honest?

    https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/ng-interactive/2026/feb/06/rasht-massacre-protests-iran-timeline

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Iran_massacres

Iran has repeatedly denied access to International Nuclear Inspectors:

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1mg7kx2d45o

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce3v6w2qr12o

    I don't like Trump. I don't like Netanyahu. I don't like this stupid war.

But this idea that Iran just isn't interested in nukes is a joke. They have been absorbing crippling sanctions to enrich uranium far-above civilian grade.

  • You know, if the President of this organization told me "We need to bomb Iran", I would not listen to him. Their goal is to stop Iran from obtaining nukes, by any means necessary. It's literally their name.

But that doesn't mean everything they publish is total non-sense.

They actually have very knowledgeable people who write interesting reports. You just need to keep a critical eye.

  • What happens when someone does something morally wrong but legal?

If a law is bad, you change the law. That's how it works in any democracy.

If americans want a better healthcare system, all they have to do is change the law.

    The issue is that :

    1. Americans vote for corrupt people. Rick Scott was convicted of defrauding Medicaid and Medicare. He was still elected by the people of Florida

    2. Americans insist on giving some empty states 2 senators.

    3. Americans insist that the Senate needs a super-majority to vote any bill

These flaws are why americans can't have healthcare.

Ultimately, it's up to americans to fix their political system to make it more representative if they want healthcare. Killing random CEOs isn't going to work.

  • Xi Zhongxun, the father of Xi Jinping, was accused of being anti-communism.

That was a lie. He was actually communist. It didn't matter. He was savagely beaten up by an angry crowd. They broke his teeth. Then, he was thrown in prison without any trial.

I don't like mob rule. I like having a court system.

  • political propaganda units promoting violence and murder?

La Stampa is promoting murder and violence? 🔪🩸

Really? That's completely illegal under Italian law.

    Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I can't just scream "I think you are a pedophile" then violently punch you in the face.

    It doesn't work like that.

  • "I'm not racist, but"

    "I'm not homophobic, but"

"I condemn an attack on a newspaper, but"

There is nothing reasonable about her statement.

You don't attack and vandalize newspapers. Period. Her claims are also clearly false. La Stampa is a quality newspaper and their coverage has highlighted Israeli crimes.
