I see a lot of these threads praising loops and i have never been able to use it effectively despite my efforts. =( and I have really wanted it to.
I am curious about the length restriction as well. I wonder if these are all things they're going to address and fix. but you'd think they'd have done all that before making announcements and whatnot.
is this like some strange form of trolling? where you're trying to be a super hated account?
or do you genuinely not know that you annoy people. or do you know it annoys people and you're a reverse troll? cause I can't believe that you haven't discovered how fruitless it is to put that symbol in your comments.
it doesn't hurt any scrapers in the slightest. it only annoys real people. there's no way you haven't figured it out by now, right?
I'm trying to understand if this is just some kind of social experiment or not. cause if it is, the results are quite plain.
did they fix the feed and algorithm issues yet? or is it still doing the thing where it shows you the same feed every time you open the app.
edit: just reinstalled to check. it doesn't seem to have been updated since February and the feed issue still persists. that is a shame. I hope they can fix it.
sometimes it feels like the world is kinda moving off consoles for being too restrictive. and I wonder if there will be a future where these two companies just keep making consoles to fight each other while not selling any.
just two giant, hot black chunks of plastic locked in an eternal battle of corporate obliviousness for all eternity.
edit: this comment was meant as a funny and not a serious.
I have several communities I run. one has a large number of active users.
if I wanted to pick up and move the whole community to another platform, everyone would have to come at once.
the people in my servers are also in other communities. they won't just up and leave discord for one community. and I'm not interested in destroying the place a lot of these people call home unless I can get a majority of people to move all at once.
do you know how impossible that is? in order for discord to truly die (which btw I hope for. heavily), it would actually have to die. like meaning a MASS exodus where everyone is abandoning the platform in droves.
but its the only place certain communities that I use exist. its more complicated than "Discord bad don't use." I wish I didn't have to. but its where literally 95% of all my friends are.
that was such a great read no joke. I love it when people use spite as a motivator.
