  • Of course not. The plagiarism comparisons were overblown and no one can copyright the basic idea anyways.

They are also just a fad and generally a boring game with a lot of faults. They aren't a threat.

  • To be fair, TheReportOfTheWeek wasn't just reviewing Popeyes normal food. It was Popeyes' cheddar biscuit butterfly shrimp. I definitely don't go to Popeyes for seafood.

  • Doesn't NK have one of the biggest standing armies in the world? I figured they could toss some troops into the blender and not care.

Also doesn't NK have a nuke? They'd definitely detonate one if they were invaded.

  • There's 6 Republicans on SCOTUS. 2 of them are hard-line "originalists" that usually rule as far right as possible against human rights. 1 is the fucking Boofer who hasn't been as awful as expected (he's young so saving up his shittery I guess?). And one is so fucking incompetent she bragged she took no notes during her questioning.

I'm surprised every decision isn't a 6-3 vote against humanity.

  • Then it'd just be NK sending a bunch of soldiers who get to emigrate to Ukraine.

  • The man embarrassed the US by leaking their DMs.

When you do that to a nation about their classified intel, it's called espionage. It's a biiiit more serious than a social media hack.

In practical terms, espionage can affect thousands of lives directly and change the course of a war. Imagined the shitshow if someone released that kind of info now. It could jeopardize the Ukraine conflict. It's treated as more serious than murder because it can be.

  • That's a great idea. Analyze the feces or garbage and then publish public reports about the deficiencies of NK life. That'd embarrass Kim enough they'd probably stop.

  • Chicken is already significantly cheaper. People still buy tons of beef.

  • These are poor countries that can't afford to because the company that owns the tests and treatments keep them too high.

  • And they keep treatments and tests much too expensive for the poorer countries to afford. Allowing millions to die because they want to keep a higher ROI.

  • We can treat and cure TB. But capitalists don't want to spend the money when it's not profitable.

  • Yeah. Because there's no good answer. Anything you do will be massively unpopular. Trying to get people to stop eating beef or dairy is going to be very difficult.

Once lab grown meat is affordable maybe it'll help.

  • I think I see a blood splatter in there too

  • At that point I unplug my headphones and let the speakers do it so I can wander the room and not be literally tied down.

  • Corrected my first post. I don't just but deep sales. I only buy games at full price of marginal sales if I want to play them immediately.

  • I love all these kind of stories. Pascal's Wager, Sin's Plate, this sneaky ravioli.

They all contend that you can trick god. The same god who is both omniscient and omnipotent.

I don't know if any of those are serious or just jests that became tradition but they are amusing.

  • Beat someone to death with it while storming your country's top government building trying to overthrow said government.

Just add some treason/insurrection on top.

  • I have stopped buying games that aren't on 90% off sales, and even then mostly stopped. I only buy a game that I want to play immediately. I have way too much to do and play and it's not worth building a backlog since I'll just forget it anyways.

Long gone are the days of super sales where 75-95% off were common.

Edit: clarification: I buy very cheap games for my backlog and buy games full price as long as I want to play them right now.

  • for products already captured if you need them.
