It's just loss.
  • This is the thing - all you need to do is suggest that everyone eating less meat would be good for the environment, and people like you utterly lose their minds. It's weird.

  • It's cars that cause injuries, not red lights. If you can see there are no cars coming and the light is red, it's safer than going on green and just assuming that all the cars stop at their red. On a bike the main thing protecting you from injury is situational awareness. Traffic laws are a distant second.

  • Cyclists don’t break traffic laws any more than drivers, says new study
  • I'm not sure how useful it is to make comparisons like this anyway. Drivers and cyclists break different laws, some of which are more dangerous than others. Speeding and close passes in vehicles are far more dangerous than cyclists going on a red-that's-about-to-change where they can see that there's nothing coming.

I don't know why but I just found it incomprehensible.

    Brewing with "High Voltage" yeast

Brewing up an APA with WHC Labs High Voltage dry yeast. It's insanely quick - I put it in at 3pm and by 8pm there was CO2 coming out of the fermenter. 2 Days later and it's down to FG. That was fermenting at 30 C, which is as high as my fermenting fridge goes. You can ferment at up to 36 C.

From brewing to keg within a week - what a world we live in!

Wow. I've only just started testing it against GP, but it's really slick and works really well. Lots more fine control than GP, and the only thing that isn't quite as good is the photo editing on the app and web site, and that is on the roadmap. Oh, and I can't see how to set up TLS but I might just be missing something.

Gullfriends - A place to appreciate friendly sea gulls

    Gullfriends

    lemmings.world/c/gullfriends

Herring gulls live for 20 years, mate for life, and are intelligent social birds. This is a place to appreciate positive interactions with the little skwarkers. They are on the red endangered list in the UK and a protected species, so let's all be nice to them.

Never mind the crow bros, here's the gullfriends.

    A present from Steve

We have a gullfriend called Steve who we made friends with ages ago. She disappeared for a few months, but then came back. We gave her some currants, she flew off, and then came back with this present for us. Nest making material of sticks and feathers. Thanks Steve!
