YSK the full scope of the recent US presidential immunity decision
  • We can’t get Congress to agree to anything right now, the ruling elite and external hostile governments have crippled them. The Republican members see this as a win for Trump and that Biden has limited time and won’t do anything antagonistic. Remember, the SCOTUS is the only entity that can determine whether or not a president acted officially, as per this ruling. The SCOTUS, that’s heavily right leaning, would crucify a Democratic president and justify a Republican. The other route would be impeachment, but we saw how that went and it has the same problems as a constitutional amendment, the gridlock in Congress.

  • The Taliban has increased the flogging of women. This brutality will not end unless the international community holds the Taliban accountable.
  • Let’s not forget all the shit the US was getting for withholding the Afghan government’s money when it collapsed and refusing to give it to the Taliban and the Afghan people, and the sanctions. Even after a military invasion and an attempt to bring democracy didn’t work, and sanctions and withholding their prior government’s money didn’t either. Not only did all of that not work, they were directly detrimental to the people that the US was trying to ‘help’.

What do you expect the world to do now? Another long ground war? Sanctions that’ll starve the Afghan people?

  • Landchads take note
  • Yeah, the first time I went there when I got this location… a fat slob of a white dude was beached on the bar, like a walrus, listening to country music loudly on his cell phone… not even using a blue tooth speaker, just his shitty cell phone speaker. And the bartender and other waitresses didn’t say anything to him.

Then, on top of what felt like a long time waiting for my service, I saw two black couples waiting at the hostess station waiting to be seated, right? Then a party of 7 white guys walked in and THEN the lady I mentioned in the prior comment rushed over to the hostess station and immediately sat those guys, ignoring the couples that had been sitting there for like 10-15 minutes waiting to be seated. The white guys ASKED the black couples how long* they had been waiting, and then said they hoped they didn’t have to wait that long. It blows my mind.

Needless to say, when I was done and cashing out I told her what I saw, and then immediately sent a review or ticket to corporate about that place. 3-4 months later I went back, co-workers chose it, she was still working there but yeah that place was still rough.

  • But, that’s the point. Chile’s can be good food for $15 dollars for those families that it caters to. Hell, I’ll go to Ruby Tuesdays and get a double of their Cajun chicken pasta, and sit at the bar, when I’m away for work. And the place is rough… like the manager is racist as fuck and skips black couples, her teeth are black, and idk how she’s so big when I know she’s using meth… but, hey, I want my double Cajun chicken pasta and to fuck off because I’m away due to work and it’s cheap. Its rural, very BFE Georgia, too.

Point I’m making, though, for people who can say ‘$15 is good’, then for them it’s good. Your statement sort of feels like it takes away from that group’s struggle.

  • So Many Divvy Bikes Are In Lake Michigan That There's Now A Group Dedicated To Fishing Them Out
  • Good article, and good people volunteering to help mitigate the problem. The use of the fire department dive team is also pretty neat, but Rischke is right, Divvy should do something more: a more robust GPS device and a full time magnetic recovery boat might be worth looking into.

  • The dedication is commendable, but wtf?
  • Has to be the classic floating monk in touristee area gag. Steel pole up his pant leg, in this case it would have to connect to steel chest harness for him and then her:

‘>-(her)-(him)-> with a steel pole from the ground to his chest rig.

  • Undecided voters say they now support Joe Biden after debate
  • I mean, I stayed until the end but my drinking skyrocketed. I honestly don’t remember the end. It was rough. Being a little informed I knew good and well that Trump was absolutely dodging the questions and laying down outright lies and propaganda, but every time I looked at Biden… holy fuck.

  • It's going to be a good night
  • Funny thing, I couldn’t figure out how to use the higher tier magic you got from the stones you collected. I played the whole game using the base spells you got from the environment. I wish Google were around back then to figure that one out.

  • Texas Cheese Fries
  • Reminds me of ordering* ‘Cajun fries’ at that one American fast food diner with the black and white checkerboard. They literally charge you a quarter more to sprinkle the same Cajun seasoning that’s on your table. Holy fuck… I was more than a little pissed when I saw that after sitting down.

  • Zoinks!
  • The jimbob gif isn’t an accurate comparison is what I’m saying. Klanners aren’t an animal doing animal things to defend itself from something it’s limited intelligence designated as a threat, or it just wildly flexed and jimbob freaked and attacked. The jimbob gif would be better compared to the police* officers jumping out of their patrol car and unloading their full magazines… after an acorn struck their vehicle.

My comment was she would probably be able to articulate a self defense claim against the klanners… because they’re actively trying to strip human rights from people and/or outright murder them. And, they have the intelligence of a man rather than some random animal.

  • Zoinks!
  • Are you defending the KKK..? We’re all joking here, but the joke of the meme itself is that she shot KKK members. Do you know their history of racism and lynching black Americans? If you are supporting white supremacy so much so that you’re riding around in their klan outfit? Eh…

That’s like claiming to be part of the Nazi party in Germany, you’re going to get what you Fucking deserve and I doubt anyone would bat a fucking eye at whatever you got for your Nazi beliefs.

  • It's Thursday, how is your week going?
  • Yeah, you’d hope they’d be sorry about it. But, no. My boss had a phone conversation with their boss and then we discussed it this morning. They’re on their toes, so we’re going to continue like we have been until everything blows over. Short, guarded and professional.

Yeah, I got promoted from one region to the other, 4 hours away. I bought a decent home a few years ago with a really good interest rate and the value is up about 75k. I’d rather not sell it. Which means I’m living in a room on our footprint. It’s not unheard of in our industry, so much so that we even have a name for it; “Geo Bachelor”.

  • It's Thursday, how is your week going?
  • I’ve spent the work week stuck at the office, and have the weekends back at home, since the new year. This one has been the worst one yet. I’m taking every Friday off for the next few months, so this is the last day of the week for me. But, it’s still rough. It’s been a train wreck.

For example, there was an issue I inherited from someone else. So, when the next higher ups at regional asked about what was going on, I explained in detail what I was handed and what very limited timeline I had to get it running to meet its deadline. Not to make something perfect with more time, just to get it out the door. Then this individual didn’t read my detailed response and asked the same question again. So, I copied that small portion that originally answered her question (removing the deep dive explanation) out of my prior email, added ‘like I said in the below email’ because she added a CC of her boss to it, escalating for some reason, and I did the same for my boss, and I wanted to make sure that the new comers knew what I had said and was saying… and then her boss responded back asking about why I had ‘attitude’ and why I didn’t do it ‘right’ the first time.

I didn’t have attitude, and I didn’t start the project, I just made sure we got it out the door in the very limited time period I had. That mission wasn’t going to wait for me, so I made sure we completed it. The email was a concise and professional. She didn’t read my last one with detail on what lead to the problem, and her boss didn’t either, before they jumped down my throat about it. The last hour yesterday, that I could have been using elsewhere on other projects, was sitting in my boss’ office as he explained to them the same situation I did and that having read the email chain himself he absolutely sees what I meant and how I meant it. If these guys would have just called and asked… instead of putting people on blast…

Anyway, I’m still in my room at the office putting off getting up. I’m going to skip my work out and get Starbucks instead, for the second time this week. Fuck it.
