Did you read the article linked in their reply? I think the hypocrisy they reference is that you're okay with taking things away which the sourced article they provide says is ineffective.
Do the studies you've read not explain that because the ones cited in the article seem to.
I don't know, but it doesn't automatically have to be malicious. Though I agree that citing the specific studies they were talking about would pretty easily put it to rest.

Seeing movies in the theater is overrated and they are far more enjoyable at home.
I’ve never read Punisher comics so I have no idea what is more comic accurate but I feel like Thomas Jane is the better “artistic” and thoughtful portrayal of Punisher while Jon Bernthal is the more action hero portrayal. Both good in their own right but for different reasons.
Not sure how I feel about Ray Stevenson or Dolph Lundgren.
I didn’t really know anything about One Piece until I watched the live action show but it was a lot of fun. The biggest thing for me was the scoring. It’s well scored and has the same swashbuckling feel as the original Pirates of the Caribbean movie!
Definitely a lot of fun and worth checking out!
The answer I saw regarding Jon Stewart was in response to the same question comparing Jon and Bill Maher with his recent announcement. That was that Jon Stewart was not a member of the WGA during the last strike and continued without his writers to keep the non-union workers getting a paycheck.
If true, it doesn’t necessarily make it ok, but it also doesn’t hurt that Jon Stewart seems likable and didn’t staunchly defend his decision, in fact indicating it was very much a struggle for him to make it.
