Yeah no one’s saying it’s bad. It’s bad for THE PRICE. You can get equally good or better at the same price point, that’s the issue people have with the card.
Uh? But you still can? I just did. You press the « + » then you should have the choice to send a GIF. You may need to press « more » to see it but it’s there.
My mom's switch is banned and has CFW on sysNAND. When I updated to 16.1.0, I updated atmosphère, the sigpatches, etc. and for 2 days I couldn't get sigptaches to actually work, even after completely formatting the SD card and starting over. The same guides worked perfectly fine on my Switch, they're both Erista on 16.1.0, with the same sigpatches etc. Even tried a brand new SD card.
Tried the GBATemp sigpatches, the coomer sigpatches (Rentry guide) and nothing worked. I know my way around Switch hacking so I tried a bunch of things over the course of those 2 days.
As a last resort, I used your guide with a freshly formatted SD card and now everything works, thank you so much!
Depends what kind of games you play. Games like Fortnite, Roblox (though it seems a workaround is being worked on?), R6 won’t work because of their anticheat systems.
Personally, 100% of my Steam library of 200+ games work perfectly on Proton.
For sure. I daily drove it for a long time many years ago when it was starting.
I tried it again recently when I was looking for a Linux OS for my moms 2009 white MacBook, since the default DE wouldn’t be too hard for her to understand.
I forgot how you legit can’t customize anything without external tools, PPAs and DEB support is disabled and requires a terminal command to enable, which is not user friendly at all for people new to Linux. Their App Store is also super buggy and the updates would make it crash every time I tried to run them, so again, had to resort to the terminal.
Lastly, I was surprised at how poorly it ran. I know it has a Core 2 Duo and « only » 6 GB of RAM, but every other distro I tried (Solus, Mint Cinnamon, Fedora) ram perfectly fine.
It’s just sad because it used to be a nice distro IMO. Now I can’t see myself recommending it.
It always depends if you have proprietary hardware. I have multiple Macs at home I use as servers on Linux and the Broadcom wifi cards are a mess. But once you know what to do, it works well.
Very cool :)
