'Great' doesn't always mean good. It can just mean notable or remarkableness. (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/great). Gatsby the man was so known on so many levels it is actual theme/commentary within the book.

If I am clearly referring to myself (as in a text), I shouldn't have to inlude myself in the sentence. Ex: "just grabbing food" vs "I'm just grabbing food".

I'm excited as I made some homemade soup yesterday and will be delivering it to sick family members today. I'm not excited they are sick, but it is a tradition I want to get into (delivering homemade food to friends and family when they are sick or feeling down).
