Ok, many thx for all your suggestions. I will try therm tomorrow.
Hmm i never noticed a visual indicator for the head lift. I can see the blue hologram and some sort of "waves" starting from the pump hologram. Assume, I have build a industrial tank on the bottom, 0 meter's above the ground. From there the pipeline starts straight upwards, for example 20 meter's. Where should I place the first mk II pump? At 3 meter's or later?
The direction is correct and power is on. But I don't get the right spot, to place the pump. If I place it on the bottom, it doesn't seem to be right, but placing on the top seems to be to far away, to get enough fuel from the pipeline.
I try to build a tower for fuel generators. I could get 4 generators at the bottom running. The fuel is inserted from the top and splitted 2 times to support the 4 generators. But now I would add another 4 generators on top of the existing 4.
But what ever I try, I don't get the fuel pump high enough. According to the height of a generator, the next floor is 4 walls above the current floor. If im right, this is 16 meters and pump mk II should pump 20 meters. But it doesn't work.
Has someone a idea?
Unfortunately, this version violates the DSGVO by sending telemetry without being asked. This shoots the app directly into out. I hope that the developers have an insight here and remove this function as soon as possible.
I'm using Gnome 46 with Loupe as an image viewer. Can this tool perform simple functions like rotating, resizing, or cropping? I haven't been able to find a way to do this yet. Or should I use something else?
I wish there would be a in-game production/consuming statistic. So that I can see, if I have to build more machines of type xyz. It's really annoying to use SCIM for this.
Tier 2, started the first time in rocky desert, which seems to be little bit more difficult.
I could solve the issue with other startparameters in steam. I now use gamemoderun mangohud %command% -vulkan
. So it seems, the issue was since i run with DX12 instead of Vulkan.
BTW: never noticed that there was a nicely animated presentation on the display in the pod. I can only see it with the -vulkan
parameter.
Yeah the driver situation is not the best on Linux, because nVidia doesn't make official OpenSource Linux driver's. It's better the last months, but not that ewsy, as on Windows. It's a lot better with AMD regarding driver's on Linux, but to find a good Laptop with AMD graphics is not that easy.
I have played before with DX12 but had visual glitches, when something moves fast. But never had issues with Vulkan on Linux. Additionally for some reason, i have a little bit more fps, as on Windows on the same Laptop (Linux 64 fps, Windows 56fps).
But I don't have Windows installed anymore, because I don't need it.
Anyhow, if I don't miss "the story", it will be fine for me.
In my case, the game freeze after the landing sequence on the planet, when i leave the pod. Playing via steam on Manjao Linux.
However, if I skip the start and the tutorial and start directly with Tier 1, everything is fine. Is this a known bug in 1.0?
I have connected my Samsung Q60 to WiFi via WPS. This works fine so far. But when i restart the TV, i have to reconnect every time via WPS again, since the TV doesn't remember the WiFi connection. If it is connected, it works fine so far. If i look at the router, i can see, that it is using always the same MAC address to connect, so this is not the issue.
Many thx. I really like this app. Keep up the good work!
Is it planned to add this feature in the near future?
Many thx for the link. Nice ranking. Unfortunately , the R7 and R10 are not listed there. But the R8 is listed as 3 from Canon cameras.
Nice test. I like Jerboa, especially the technical implementation. But the Usablity and layout of other apps is much better. That's why my default client is Thunder.
I would like to switch to a new camera. I'm currently using an old and simple EOS 2000D. I'm a beginner and only want to use the camera as a hobby or when traveling, but I still want to take beautiful photos. Should I stick with APS-C for travel photography and wildlife or switch to full-frame? What really bothers me about the 2000D is the ISO noise from ISO 1600 and the lack of detail in the photos. I'm planning to take photos of the Northern Lights on a trip in the fall. Would you advise me to go for an EOS R8 or an EOS R7? Or would an EOS R10 be enough?
Darktable? It's a RAW developer and photo managing software on Linux, Windows and Mac, a little bit like Adobe Lightroom, but OpenSource. If GPS coordinates are in the RAW, sidecar or jpg files, the photos can be displayed in the map module. Much better, if you have a GPX file and no GPS data embedded, you can assign the photos to the GPX route, as long the timestamp of DateTimeOriginal in Exif is accurate. If the timestamp differs, you can specify the difference.
Maybe Digikam can do the same. But I don't like the KDE framework which is used there. Digikam is available for Linux and Windows (yes, I know it's strange).
If you can selfhost, you can try my SyncMarks AddOn. It will work on any webextension compatible browser, e.g Firefox, Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Brave, Kiwi and so on. You can sync across all Browsers.
The backend is working with selfhosted PHP/MySQL (or SQLITE) stack. If you can't use this, you can fallback to WebDAV as backend, but with limited functionality.
The addon can work together with the standard sync mechanisms in all these browsers, but it's up to you if you want that.
If the addon is not installed, you can access the backend url with any browser and use it as WebApp. With apps like Tasker or HTTPShortcuts, you can share any url, from any to the backend.
This is for what I have created a Extension called "SyncMarks". It's available for Firefox from AMO. The same exist for all Chromium based browser, including Chromium, Chrome, Edge and a lot more. For Edge its available in the Microsoft Edge Store, all others can sideload the extension. The extension is cross-browser compatible, so that you can sync bookmarks between Firefox and Chromium. As a backend for best results, you can use the PHP based backend for selhosting or any WebDAV as a alternative (not all functions available). Installation of the backend is super easy. You can find everything at Codeberg.
BTW. The PHP backend works as WebApp, so that you can access the bookmarks also, when the extension is not installed, from any browser.
Maybe... If I use the stable version, it works also sometimes with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, but has only 2fps. I can remove this parameter with the dev version and have 45fps.
I have played "Planet Crafter" before, in early access without any issues. But now I have seen that the 1.0 is released. For some reason, after the update, I couldn't get the game to start without a crash.
After playing and testing some things, like other Proton versions, GE-Proton and much more, I was about to give up.
But for some reason, I changed and installed the dev channel (1.0.2.x), instead of the stable 1.0.1 version, the game starts up again!
So if anyone has similar issues, you should try to switch to the dev version. Maybe this solves the problem.
BTW: My startup string is gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Perfect. I can try it when I'm back from vacation in 3 weeks. Horrible internet connection here in caribes.
If i remember correctly, there was some space between posts in early versions. On 0.2.9 in card view, there is no space. Is there some way to get back this post divider, so that I can easier see where one post ends and a new one begins?
Hi there. I installed Manjaro on a new laptop, like I did on the previous one, just using default options with Gnome.
However when I connect my Bluetooth headset, I have used on the previous laptop, it seems that I temporary loose the Bluetooth connection during gaming via Steam. After some seconds, the audio comes back again automatically.
Has someone a idea where to start investigation the issue?
I have never used pacman hooks before. But i wonder, if they are also executed, when i use pamac. Is this the case?
After starting Steam, every day it starts a Update for Satisfactory for near 120 - 170MB. Are there really every day new updates?
I have added Evolution to Tweaks > Startup Applications. Evolution starts up fine after logging in to Gnome. However it starts maximized. Is there a way to start it hidden or minimized?
I have read months ago, that Epiphany 43 has support for Webextensions. Now i have installed Epiphany 45 but couldn't find any trace of this. I would like to testdrive my own Extension, but this isn't possible when its not supported.
Currently I'm trying to evaluate a handful of Lemmy apps. Is there any way to have a 'Mark as read on scroll' feature? I couldn't find such a feature after a first look in the settings.
