As much as I dislike Hobby Lobby as a company, I can't pass up on these sales. That Hi-nu Gundam is $15 below retail when you count the 40% off.
After putting 12 hours into the Shin Megami Tensei V demo, I think I'll be buying it. Haha. I've also been playing Sekiro, which is much better at 45 fps than I figured it would be.
Arceus was a fun break from the norm, and was even more fun once I played it on redacted to remove some of the performance issues my Switch had with it. I'm looking forward to Z-A exclusively because the impression Arceus made (well, and

I've been playing a randomized (and slightly higher level enemy Pokémon) run of Shield after beating it once originally and being quite disappointed, and I've enjoyed that pretty thoroughly as well. The return of follower Pokémon in the DLC is something I've been asking for since HG/SS.
That would be more valid here if Pokémon were focused on being fun. As a lifelong fan, modern Pokémon games are typically both ugly and not terribly fun. They make decent "turn off your brain" games, but the quality of game did not go up with the decrease in graphics.
A different one, although I'd prefer not to dox myself. Thankfully we still had running water (although those with well water did not), but I know what you mean about gasoline. The national guard had to be posted at gas stations as they came back online.

TimeShift, an FPS from the Xbox360/PS3 era. It was my first PS3 game played on an HDTV. The time mechanics were fantastic, the graphics were amazing to me at the time, and it was a surprisingly fun time. I would be so happy with a remake/spiritual successor.
I have the physical book. I still find it hard to read. That does not detract from how fantastic it looks, and I did not mean to imply it did.

I won't lie, usually Christmas is my favorite time of year. Something about the music, getting to see all my family, and trying to find inventive ways to make friends and family happy through gifts always cheers me up. Never really had the money to go all out, but the spirit was there.
This year I just do not care. Usually I listen to dozens of hours of Christmas music and this year it is less than 2 hours so far. I'm not looking forward to giving or receiving gifts; it just feels so formulaic and rabidly consumerist. My usual comfort movies hold no interest for me. I'd skip it if I could. And all of that was before my grandmother died this past Saturday.
I had actually assumed they stopped supporting it so I kept mine unplugged for a year or two. Turned it on the other day on a whim and was surprised by having to wait on a new update.
Fate/Zero is the best place to start in my opinion. And a fantastic show.
Edit: And if you wanted to watch it from "the beginning" you could try Fate/Stay Night UBW, but Fate/Zero is a prequel to that (and better).
As long as it doesn't hinder his "elbows" any or touch his ears, he's fine with wearing most costumes/sweaters/shirts. We actually like to joke that he likes them, but I'm pretty sure he's at best just thankful for the additional warmth.
In my previous post titled Low End FDM for Miniatures, Hobby Parts, and Messing Around? I received a ton of fantastic recommendations, but ultimately went with the A1 mini due to its price at the time, ease of use, and several other factors. It came in today, and I've already made 10 different prints on it. The Benchy came out wonderfully, and so has everything else so far.

Edit 2: I purchased the Bambu A1 mini. If I regret it, there will be more chances in later years. Haha. Maybe by then I can work with resin and make the really fun minis. Thank everyone who responded for your advice and help.
Edit: I am leaning against resin printing due to the lack of sufficient ventilation in my current work space and the potential for injuring my cats. I also do not plan to do exclusively miniatures; they were just the thing I was most excited for when making this post.
I looked around for a pinned thread or purchase wiki type thing, but didn't see one. I apologize if this is the wrong place.
After visiting a family member, I have decided that 3D printing has finally gotten affordable enough for me to maybe add to my list of hobbies. My primary use cases would be making miniatures (no particular scale necessary, as I just like to paint them at the moment), making parts for other hobbies (including cross stitch), and just generally making gifts and fun knick nacks. My budget is no more than $250 for the machine itself. I have not-insignificant computer experience, and some training in CAD programs.
Several seem to be on sale in the US for Father's Day (today), and I was wondering if anybody had some advice or suggestions on some specific ones.
- Creality Ender-3 V2 is what my family member has had for a while now and enjoyed, and less than $200 is very nice. It does seem to be dated at this point, and Creality support seems to be lacking.
- There's also the Neo of the above for the same price, but I am honestly having a hard time pinpointing the difference.
- Sovol SV06 seems to be a common recommendation for the price range, but I've heard similarly negative things about their support, especially on Amazon (although I no longer trust Amazon reviews very much).
- Flashforge Adventurer 5M appears to be on a significant sale on their official eBay (240 USD), but I have only really seen it recommended in almost spammy manners, which seems like either excitement for the sale or an ad campaign.
Any help you can give is greatly appreciated, even if it's just not getting into the hobby at this price point.
