Depending on where you live in the American southwest, that’s the norm. Shingles are weird.

For what it’s worth, something has changed in the past couple of years. I’ve now seen Dole Whip at Costco, and I know that the Hawaiian Brothers restaurant chain (fast casual Hawaiian, pretty decent overall) usually has two flavors of Dole Whip and it’s pretty spot on.

Now I want some Dole Whip. :(

The first time I saw them live, my jaw dropped when they pulled off the opening moments of “astral body“ perfectly, live.

Not universally, but quite a bit of their albums reminds me of Dream Theater, with its everybody-play-the-arpeggios simultaneously, but with some dude screaming over it. I got used to LaBrie live, so this isn’t a step down. (but then there’s the occasional ragtime piano for no real reason).

The animatronics seem a bit off. How’s its rendition of the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room song?
