  • Maybe the joke was, they are the ones that seems closest to the homo species but are still apes?

That sentence makes no sense. Chimps and humans are both apes.

Though I think there are other apes that are genetically closer to homo sapiens.

Not only are chimps the closest relative to humans, but humans are the closest relative to chimps.

  • tooth fairy
  • The two claims about Santa and the tooth fairy are independent of eachother. Just because one isn't real, doesn't mean the other isn't.

If one god isn't real, doesn't mean they all aren't real. You should learn the basics of logic and fallacies. This is pretty simple stuff.

The Moon landing is definitely real though.

  • Climate denialism has burnt to a crisp
  • We’ve observed that the climate has changed for millions of years on this planet.

Yes, and scientist have a pretty good understanding why it has changed in the past. Just as now we understand the climate has changed because of increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Can you guess why there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere now than before the industrial revolution?

The post Industrial Revolution is the teensiest-tiniest microscopic doesn’t-even-register slice of time on the scale of the entire time this planet has had a climate.

Yes. And still, in this tiny slice of a time, the climate has changed a significant amount.

Just look at how climate change is being used by politicians and leaders.

Why should I look at politicians on a science matter. That's your problem. You should get your science from the scientist, not politicians.

  • Hippos can run and swim around 20-30 miles an hour. If you wanted to beat one in a triathlon, you'd need to be really prepared for the biking portion.
  • While hippoes are surprisingly agile in water and surprisingly fast runners, they are not known for their endurance.

Hippoes would probably have an advantage while swimming due to a body adapted to water.

Hippoes don't sweat and have a very thick skin, so they would overheat quickly when running. The same thing applies to cycling, but with a bike designed for their body, I'd think they'll do better cycling than running. Their hind legs are about 70cm long (according to ChatGPT), so not that short. Shorter crank arms are required. The hind legs are super strong, so that would be a significant advantage, especially when the bike is holding their body weight.
