I think she's just being selfish. It's not like the real problem is that people in power have made it impossible to access gender affirming healthcare. The real issue is that the system is set in such a discriminatory way that you can't just change it if you're willing to be seen as the person you're supposed to be, and therefore that no one is doing that. That's why we need to start an entirely new system that makes it possible to just change your gender without having to deal with those pesky legal documents. That way we can stop making it harder for the transgendered people in Virginia who don't want to transition because they know it will never change and they won't be treated any differently.

Well, it's a trans person in Virginia. The story is also that her transition was made possible by being transgender, so it's still not a completely different experience and you need to look back and appreciate some of what we went through.
