BBC News - Luis Rubiales: Spanish FA will take legal action over Jennifer Hermoso 'lies'
  • There's a significant difference between claiming some things was spontaneous and actually getting consent. This guy wasn't in a relationship with the player where this type of behavior would have been previously cleared. He's not even claiming that he asked permission. In this case you would have to assume mutual spontaneous consent. That is what he's claiming. However, one party has clearly said it wasn't mutual consent. So now you either have to assume the victim is lying or you take the logical path and realize that there's photographic evidence of a powerful figure, who doesn't claim to have asked for consent, assaulting a female athlete and showing no regard or remorse for that behavior.

  • Chipmunk snacking [OC]
  • I see a chipmunk, I upvote. In other news, these cute little dudes love to jump up into the underside of vehicles. Had one jump up on the skid plates of my truck. He screeched at me when I popped the hood and used a stalk of grass to chase him out.

  • Benadrule
  • It does come in a bottle. Had an amoxicillin reaction. That bottle was a lifesaver every four hours of the day, or night. But I also think this is BS. Benadryl will plug you up like nothing else.

  • Regarding the “Rust” shooting.
  • Dude. Read up on this. Guns pointed at others are rubber replicas. (Great vids about this on Adam Savage's YT channel). This was a real gun. Those are not pointed at people. Down vote away.

  • Regarding the “Rust” shooting.
  • They don't even need to know how to check a gun. They just need to follow the safety protocols and not point it at someone. Pointing a real gun, which this was, at something you are not ok destroying is a violation of basic firearms safety, 82nd airborne or not.

  • How do you choose?
  • Very hard to just have one. Any motorcycle is a compromise. The question is what you're willing to compromise on. I personally like my R1250 GSA for luggage, comfort, and a reasonable good time in the corners if using dynamic mode. I ride two up regularly, or I'd entertain a 1000xr for those trips. I also have an s1000rr and KTM 350 EXC-F which have very specific charters. No bike that I can tour on in comfort will hang with the s1k in the corners or tackle true single track with the KTM. For a long time I had an fjr1300 which was a great middle ground before I could afford the GSA.

  • Gas life?
  • I've let high octane sit in dry environments for six to nine months multiple times w/o issue. YMMV

As I understand it, the issue with the ethanol is attracting moisture. If I was going to leave a bike for a year, without someone around to ride it, I'd drain the fuel, run it dry, and put the it on a stand.

  • Some good views in AZ
  • Two words: tribal police. I'd already gotten a lights and siren warning earlier in the day for taking a corner a nice bit faster than speed limit in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully he was oncoming and it was a twisty enough stretch that he just flashed the lights, blipped the sirent, and shut them off. Also, right over the rise in this picture were tourists taking turns standing in the road to get their picture taken.

While there's a lot to like about smaller bikes, the GSA is great for eating miles, riding twisty bits, or the occasional stretch of dirt road.
