Elon's Folly
  • Here's a response assuming you're question was in good faith. I follow lots of news stories from multiple sources and I count lemmy as one of those sources. This was my first time hearing this. This is part of my process to stay informed. If OP had not posted this, I may not have known. Hope this helps!

  • Basic descriptions are necessary for collaborative storytelling
  • A player playing a barbarian isn't expected to deadlift a boulder IRL to prove his character in game is strong.

Why should a player playing a warlock be required to make a persuasive argument IRL to get to prove his character in game is persuasive.

I mean I get a little narration makes the game more fun and diving into the social aspects are just as important as the combat. But We are playing a fantasy game to let people embody whatever fantasy they want and some people just might want to be a lot more charismatic

  • I think the average person just simply doesn't care about their privacy.
  • Personally, I've always thought "They could sell your data to insurance companies who might jack up your prices or claim something is a pre-existing condition" to be the most p we persuasive to people like my parents.

  • I think the average person just simply doesn't care about their privacy.
  • But Facebook/Twitter/etc isn't telling out boss what we say about them at home. Or our SSN to every car we pass. Or how much we hate it family-in-law.

Unless you give them realistic reasons, they will always counter with "That's different" because it is.

  • I think the average person just simply doesn't care about their privacy.
  • I keep seeing people saying "I have nothing to hide" is a bad argument. But no one ever explains why it is. So for the people who say they don't care about the privacy, what would you say to them about why they should care?

  • What was "The Incident" at work that caused an exodus in the work force?
  • Thanks for the response, I read the article but other than Jeffrey being a client of Chase, I don't quite know what they did wrong. Were they booking the flights for free? How were they invoiced in the crimes and turning a blind eye to them?
