Etsy to ban sale of most sex toys, explicit content, and more
  • Meanwhile, most sex shops: selling jelly which just straight up melts with time, TPE/TPR which are porous and might melt when boiled and therefore pretty much impossible to keep clean, PVC which they promise doesn't contain phthalates this time, and silicone that has about a 50% chance of actually being platinum cured. DIYers can't be much worse, as far as I know, they either outright state what methods and materials they use or will provide them upon request.

  • Ukraine wiped out 100 Russian troops at once in a strike showcasing the range and power of its new US ATACMS
  • Trying to demolish a capital structure like a bridge with rockets would be incredibly wasteful, they're better spent for precision strikes on ammo depots, airports, vehicle storage, etc. The payload of the long-range ATACMS is only 214kg, somewhat on par with the FAB-500 bomb, which carries around 200kg with stated TNT equivalent of about 300kg. The truck explosion on that bridge last year was estimated at around 10 tons TNT equivalent, it barely shifted a couple slabs, and was fixed within weeks.

Using sea drones to take out supports might be a better idea, they're at least considerably cheaper.

  • Ukraine wiped out 100 Russian troops at once in a strike showcasing the range and power of its new US ATACMS
  • The soldiers would have been out of reach of Ukraine's shorter-range ATACMS missiles

Shorter-range ATACMS still have a range of 165km (103 miles), why would a position 50 miles behind the front lines be unreachable for them? It's likely that Ukraine is currently expending their existing stock now that they know more is coming.

  • thank god they translated it
  • In Russian, pronunciation of Е depends on its placement. If preceded by a consonant, it's pronounced like a "softer" Э. A bit like "bet" vs "bat" in US English. It's only pronounced as "ye" if it's the first letter of the word, or preceded by a vowel, soft sign (Ь) or hard sign (Ъ).

In Ukrainian, Є is similar to Russian Е, but it's not modified if preceded by a consonant - in these cases it's typically replaced by i. Ukrainian Е is indeed about the same as Russian Э. And Russian Ё is replaced by combinations ЙО or ЬО.

  • Russia adds 'LGBT movement' to list of extremist and terrorist organisations
  • The Supreme Court declared the "LGBT movement" to be extremist on November 30th last year. Ruling went into power on January 10th. Now it just got added to a list. People have already been arrested because of it before this. It's not an actual movement, the whole thing is just an excuse for more repressions, of course.

  • Gunmen in combat fatigues fire at crowds at Moscow concert hall, a big blaze follows
  • Telegram channels such as Baza, Ostorozhno Novosti and Vazhnye Istorii were posting eyewitness statements and phone footage as early as 20:15 Moscow time and throughout the event. There was no jamming. Degraded performance was reported for Telegram and VK. Whether the issue was with the local access points or Telegram's data centers is not clear.

  • Gunmen in combat fatigues fire at crowds at Moscow concert hall, a big blaze follows
  • People were posting videos while the attack was happening. Where are you getting this information about "jamming" from? Nearby traffic distribution nodes were likely overloaded which resulted in degraded performance of Telegram and VK services. This is something to be expected when thousands or even millions of people start sending messages all at once, trying to figure out what's happening to their friends and family.

  • Hundreds chant "No to War!" at Navalny's funeral in Moscow.
  • Blatant misrepresentation of his position. You probably also love mentioning his "cockroaches" video while ignoring the immigration issues, terrorism and problems with Chechnya as the context of the time, as well as not mentioning his second video released at around the same time where he explicitly calls out the far right and argues against violence. Navalny explained multiple times that he attends the march in an attempt to make it better and steer it away from senseless violent rhetoric of those who are cut into the video you posted inbetween clips with him. You mentioned that you speak Russian fluently, so here's his interview from 2011 where he explains his position regarding nationalism in more detail.

    And before you mention it:

  • Russian war blogger dies in apparent suicide after facing criticism for revealing Moscow's losses
  • Do you guys ever have anything other to say than "haha window" and "lol shot himself 5 times"? Every time there's an article like this, the comments are all the same exact shit, never an original thought in sight.

As for the guy himself, Murz was a war-mongering twat and he did shoot himself after being ordered to remove his telegram post about Russia's losses in Avdiivka and some bullying from the state propaganda headed by Solovyov. Everyone's better off with him dead. Rest in piss, hopefully he won't be the last problem to solve itself.
