I've had PSUs with odd issues that still worked for the most part, but when I tested them (with my tester) they reflected a weak voltage on one segment or some other failure. But it would still sorta work. These testers do work.
Mine is very similar to the one in this Corsair PSU testing guide. I think it was $15.

I just came from the "Is my PSU broken?" thread here. This sub is supposed to be like the reddit sub, but honestly whatever gets posted here is fine with me. As long as it is PC related. I just like seeing something...anything...posted. I am not going back to the other place and want it to work here.
I am more than happy to help with tech support here as well as read snarky sarcastic PCMR material if it happens to show up. We just have a lack of it atm.
They sell PSU testers for $15-20. I bought one years ago and it still serves me well. You plug in the 24-pin and the other power connectors and it will tell you where it's faults lie. If none, then the motherboard should be scrutinized next.
Capacitors exist all over your system. They are on nearly every component. Look for them and then look for the bulge out the top. There are reliefs (a big X) in the top of the capacitor to allow it to "blow" out that direction. Sometimes it only bulges and does not blow, but that's enough for failure. If you open your PSU, try not to root around too much with your fingers. Be cautious of the power load that might remain. Visually inspect the caps. It might only be a slight bulge or none at all, but the caps can still die.
I'd lend you a PSU, so maybe you have a friend close who might too? You may still consider buying a new PSU to allow for future upgrades and put the old one on the shelf as a spare or for other purposes. That is, if the PSU is fine. It is still possible the motherboard is at fault, but again with these symptoms, it would likely be a cap.

I used to have this group of friends that were pretty savvy on finances and negotiations. For fun and sport, they would go to auto dealers and pretend to be interested in a car they had zero intentions of buying. All to hook and reel in the salesman and then decide "no" at the last second and walk off the lot.
I mean, the idea is humorous and I dislike most auto salesmen too, but I have better things to do.

Interesting to see this news. About a week ago I had picked up the mail and we still receive mailings for a deceased relative. This means we often get correspondence for the older demographic. On that day, it was the Epoch Times. Looking ever so like a normal newspaper. Trying to look like a trusted medium to the older audience to whom it was addressed.
I’ve known of them, but being dismissive had never scrutinized it. Having a rare opportunity before me I did so and was not terribly surprised. In summary: References to “woke” news everywhere else, all glory to supreme leader trump and covid was a hoax.
Anyhow, I did have to take pause and admit the propaganda machine of the right is quite good at what it does. Millions of Americans getting this rag, reading it and nodding along. Is there an equivalent on the left? One that lies and deceives and reaches so many? I don’t really think so.

This might not be popular, but in my opinion the world absolutely does not need a "Major League Eating" organization or competitive eating contests.
Competitive eating has no reasonable place when there is so much food insecurity around us. Even moreso when there are people going hungry within the same country as the competition. I'll even wager there are people within a mile of it that would greatly appreciate one of the fifty hot dogs a competitor eats.
In my limited view, it appears to me as an overt display in food gorging and over-consumption. Is this a skill to aspire to? Perhaps it had a place when showing the world how successful we were as a nation, but now it just seems gross as the optics (in my view) have changed.
The rest of the world is competing by simply vying for food. Any food.

I’ve jumped from a plane and the outfit I did it with provided about 15 minutes of class time. The instructor rolled in late as they partied hard the night before. I’m just lucky laundry didn’t pour out of my pack during the jump.
Concussion counts are not as objective as they may seem.
A convoluted topic for sure. The NFL has resisted the issue for a long time and they still try to protect the brand. Players also want to play and will sometimes hide symptoms. Concussion numbers are still too high and solutions are evasive. Rules and even helmets have changed, but perhaps if soft-shell helmets (Great Gazoo style!) were used we'd see less concussed players. We would lose those sharp cracking sounds that exemplify the violence of the game, but less CTE and better player health is what we should absolutely be striving for.
