Like others have said, I'm off it too, although I have occasionally checked in with the niche subreddits I used to follow to see where they're moving to, if at all.

It wasn't actually enough to completely drive the fan, I had initially noticed the fan "twitching" and it was only when I had spun it myself physically, that the fan kept spinning constantly until I either unplugged the cable or I physically stopped the fan.

Yeah, I think this is the most logical explanation.

The compact disc inside the computer case is a 2005 PCMag disc.

I actually showed this to my IT lecturer and he said he hadn't seen anything like this either, but he went down the rabbit hole of HDMI specs and found that there is a small 5v 50mA power sent out from HDMI devices, presumably to detect if they're connected to something or not.

Somehow, that power must be running through the GPU, through the PCI-E slot, fuck knows where next, to the CPU fan header..

I always use a combination of LibreWolf or Ungoogled Chromium for websites that don't work in LW, but my work insists we use and recommend Edge, their reason being that if a user has trouble in Edge we should know how to fix it, especially as it's the browser we should be recommending.

Good to know I need to be especially careful of what I view on Edge now though.. Yikes.

Oh, the video was recorded on an iPod Touch 4th gen because I had it on hand. That's why the quality is so.. crusty.
