  • Good that they've finally updated the firmware! The previous models didn't have charge status indicator bar and the only way to check was by a belly rub sequence, but it was very risky as there's a major safety concern with the model: attempting the belly rub sequence would cause some units to randomly short-circuit switching them from friendly loaf mode to aggressive self-defense, thus inflicting significant damage on user's hand!

  • Just arrived to cottage, finally some alone time in nature! I'm going to pick berries and mushrooms and read, also took my ukulele with me in case a sudden inspiration strikes!

  • The last encounter with Alexander the Warrior Jar in Elden Ring made me cry. What a brave jar and a good friend.

I think I might've cried for other reasons too when playing Elden Ring. :')

  • 🤣 one might think water would be the no.1 enemy here in the land of a thousand lakes!

  • Great info once again! Thank you!

  • Now that you mentioned it I also got sand inside the engine once when doing some repairs. I guess sand and the bike have a beef going!

  • Why did the bike lay down? It was two tired!

Better it happened at home and slow speed than on the road, but for sure it's an adrenaline inducing event nevertheless.

When I was taking lessons I dropped the driving school's bike like 4 times, broke a peg too. I have no prior experience with mopeds etc and the bike I was using was slightly too large for me to handle comfortably when learning to ride. I soon bought myself a fitting bike and finished the lessons & test on it, no problem. Since then I've dropped it twice, first one was when I was moving it to winter storage after the first season and it was parked on the road where I had to take an instant tight turn when leaving the spot. Weather was already quite cold and I didn't wait for the bike to warm up properly, so the bike stalled mid turn and I fell. Last summer I tipped the bike when parking on a sand road. I got off the bike, put it on stand, the stand is a bit wonky and moved and sunk into the soft sand and I also had camping gear on the bike so it just went. That time the plugs got wet and had to clean them before the bike agreed to start and also the casing for meters took some damage. This summer I had a close call when waiting at the lights, there was sand on the asphalt that I didn't notice and when I was shifting weight, feet on the ground, my other foot started slipping. Thankfully it was a near miss this time.

As long as you don't get hurt too bad everything else can be fixed or replaced!

  • Does the bill grow like nails do or will it stop growing at some point? Could you tell us more about the bill and how the owl would trim/take care of it in the nature?

I realized I've never thought about it and just assumed it stops growing once the bird reaches maturity!

  • Trying to get back to normal routines after spending most of July away from home. I have a new motorcycle project and would like to just focus on that instead of annoying adult things.

  • Wouldn't bother. It's a very basic bike and it seems to be in really rough condition so you'd need to replace almost every component and expect the rest to be stuck pretty bad. The frame looks like it could have serious damage from corrosion, steel is real but so is rust and when a bike looks this rough on the outside it's likely that the frame is in bad shape as well from the inside, chainstays and the welding near the bottom bracket will usually crack first.

  • Back home from a 2 week trip, I feel like I've lost myself.

  • Then again NB people who were assigned female at birth, socialized to female presentation and presented as female before discovering their NB identities would have faced the same expectations and difficulties. Especially for those of us who are a little bit older the neurodivergence just like non-binary identities didn't really "exist" back in the day (where I've lived at least), we were expected to present as neurotypicals as well as cis, wearing two masks at the same time.

  • As it should be!

  • Just add some sausage relish and onion and it's perfect!

  • What a shame that the cheese and red wine flood didn't happen at the same time. It would've been a feast!

  • Soon it'll be a nonsai
