This is an incredibly underwhelming reply. It's like you were on the receiving end of a very unremarkable joke, or at least you did something stupid. I like it. I want you to drink some beer. I have a huge bottle of beer lying around and Im selling it to my local pub group. I know you like beer. I know its not an unusual thing, but its like a special thing to share with others. You know, there is this guy that Im friends with and weve been talking about this a lot. I dont know much about him. I know hes a smart guy. Hes in his 30s, hes funny, hes smart, hes a good guy. Hes really great at what he does. But Im not too confident, I know that hes not that smart, he just plays dumb. I just know that I cant help but be creeped out by it, thats his personality. Im very clear that Im not interested in him in the slightest. Hes a smart guy, but Im afraid that I dont want him. I don't know what the deal is, but it's so messed up. I have a girlfriend who I married in high school. She is so sweet and supportive of my career, but sometimes I think she's a little too self-assured and I need her to be a little less certain. She's never been with anyone else. It's also hard to juggle the desire to be honest with my best friend, the need to have a beer with her, and the need to please her. It's a tough balance.
