It's not the fic you're looking for, but you might also like They Didn't Know We Were Seeds by LucyLuna.
I tried to do a keyword search, but Ao3 is down for a DDoS right now. I'll try again later.
My top is New Blood, which is a Slytherin Hermione fic, with lots of exploration of magical paganism.
The next would probably be Harry Potter and the Engines of Change which just finished its final chapter, beautifully wrapped up (though the author says there will be one final sequel). The first story is Harry Potter and the Ticket Backwards. It's a great, fresh take on the "Peggy Sue" genre where Harry genuinely struggles and sometimes forgets things. He's a good person, but a flawed character and makes mistakes sometimes, but the story still has an overall hopeful tone.
BTW, I had problems getting this comment to post, turns out the issue was some weird thing with Lemmy's language setting. I set the language of both the post and my comment to English, and that seems to have allowed it =). I also have my Lemmy account language set to both undefined and English
Let's get some discussion moving =). One of my outsize joys in life is getting an update to my email inbox. What's been doing that for you recently?
I'm just trying to get a rough idea of the order of magnitude. Has this instance exceeded "old PC" (For discussion's sake, an 8 core i7-9700k with 32 gigabytes of RAM) yet?
How much does a Lemmy instance cost to host?
Either Reddit will back down, or it will very quickly grow. I would worry more for /r/startrek, but this community doesn't have a peer anywhere else.
