It's a scary thought because I think it's universal in all cultures all over the world. I'm in Canada and when I tell most people I've been to Europe, they assume I'm a millionaire that can afford to travel because even though some of these people have more money than me, they can't even think of the possibility of flying outside the country.
When I visited the UK, we stayed at a place just outside London .. a small town that was about an hour train ride away from the city center called Bracknel. We were just exploring in a rental car (we nearly had accidents about twice a day). We asked people for directions to the next town or a few towns over and they couldn't tell us because they had never been there. When we talked to more people, we realized that most of them had never left town and couldn't think of traveling further than London.
I've flown in aircraft at 30,000 feet .... those at ground level were passing time slower than me by millions of a fraction of a second slower than me at altitude .... when we landed, I had travelled millions of a fraction of a second faster ... I had travelled forward in time faster than everyone else
Not only did they have to watch a lot of Star Trek but each episode would probably be analyzed, catalogued, noted, researched and screenshot for hours or days
lol .... time travel is possible and many species, and individuals have done it many times in the past and in the future. It's just that they keep appearing in random places in the universe in empty space.
There are hundreds, thousands, millions or billions of poor unfortunate time travellers that all appeared in empty space or embedded in rocky planets or asteroids ... or appeared next to a star and immediately just vapourized ... or just suffocated and froze to death.
And all throughout time, they all keep attempting it never knowing that it does work, but that it has unfortunate consequences.
Hell yeah ... just like washing machines ... I'd love to be able to see what's going on side a dish washer ... even put LED lights on inside it and do a light show ... or control the lighting so that you can turn it on and off if you want
Yeah .... I'm going to be driving junk trucks and cars for the rest of the my life.
I'm not going to trust driving my car at 120 kph down the highway knowing that some douche bag idiot has a kill switch or access to my steering wheel that may turn it on either intentionally, maliciously or accidentally
It's a freaky thought .... if you own a Tesla ... Muskrat has access to your steering wheel and accelerator and brakes at all times ... at any given moment if their system ever goes haywire, you may end up flying through that mountain guard rail, heading into one coming traffic or plowing into a crowd of people
As always .... I can trust future technology and all the things that we could possibly develop and create .... I will never trust the people who own and control all these things.
