Just got to get to a blind curve or hill and hope there's a turn off, not that I've ever done this of course, but it works
Hi. Is there a plan to add a function that allows the searching of individual posts?
Order me a beer. I'm almost there
Get to know your neighbors. A good relationship with your neighbors is life changing. Other than that, find like minded groups on Facebook or though your local community centers.
Seems like a good portion of the activity in the communities is reddit oriented. If the goal is leaving/hurting reddit, it seems we should be continuing on like it doesn't exist, instead of continuing to drive interest to the site. Thoughts?
I guess the thought process is they wouldn't be as likely to make that area their permanent camp spot if they didn't have wifi access... Maybe....I dunno
Already had dinner, but now I'm craving seconds
Was thinking about shows that I've really enjoyed over the years tonight and I re-watched the pilot episode of The Following. It was a show on Fox that began a decade ago. It stared Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy.
Probably the best pilot episode I've ever watched. Sucked right in. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it, at least the first 2 seasons. Looks like it's streaming for free on the CW now.
Priorities
The only way I've been able to "read" is through audiobooks. I listen during my work commute. It's really enjoyable. Makes commuting enjoyable to an extent. Also, if you get a really good narrator, the experience is great.
I am here, patiently waiting on new material
I tried black leopard red wolf, but didn't enjoy it. I'm an audiobook only person so it may have been the reader, but I couldn't get into it
Something like reddit doesn't long if it's not profitable. He's not in the same reality that we are
Honestly, a 3 day, partial shutdown is less than 1% percent of their annual online time. The strike has got to last much longer imo
I love rivers. Just chilling near one is the most relaxing thing ever
This is a screenshot of the settings look and feel section. There is clearly more settings below the voting arrows option, but the page doesn't scroll anymore.
For me, I haven't left yet but I will significantly reduce my time on reddit once my app of choice shuts down (Boost). If reddit updates their app to the standard of the 3rd party apps they are killing, I'll be happy to continue my use. Side note, I've found lemmy (jerboa app use) because of this and will hang around here regardless of what happens with reddit
Boost was amazing for me. Daily user, but not anything other than browsing, some commenting, and minimal posting. Is live for the dev to take a crack at a lemmy app
Does Reddit have the power to un-blackout the subreddits? I.e. Overrule the mods and open things up? I feel like, as in most cases, there are a modest sized group of high caring individuals that will reject/boycott/cancel reddit, but the majority of users, casual and the ones that make reddit their life, will just continue on, only slightly inconvenienced.
That was my goal! I'm in a bit of a music lull, looking for new stuff
I love Pink Floyd, but to be honest I'd put animals on there before dark side. I didn't fully list everything that I'd add, just a few to get the conversation going:-)
I'm hoping this new influx of users helps to improve jerboa over time. It pretty as it is, but some areas could use attention.
I often think about stellar albums. The ones where they're really isn't a skip-able track. Off the top of my head, these come to mind: The Beach Boys Pet Sounds, Collective Soul Collective Soul (blue album), Bush 16 Stone, and Green Day Dookie. What are some of your perfect albums?
