We already know there won't be much of a difference in performance but he's literally introducing another variable to compare which makes the comparison less clear on whether performance differences are due to the distro's kernel tweaks or due to different proton versions.

I'm always annoyed at people recommending Bazzite because they never add that caveat. It's such a bad distro to recommend for a PC, not a gaming station. Especially to newbies.
