I so strongly disagree with that. The Snapdragon 7 gen 4 in the Fairphone6 is roughly on par with the Snapdragon 888 from 2020 (S21 series). You couldn’t pay me to daily drive an S21 Ultra, let alone pay 67% of an S25 (a mid cycle phone) for a phone with a 4 year old performance profile. 600$ can be a used S24 Ultra.
Android app devs just don’t optimize their apps enough that I’d be comfortable rocking this phone 3 years from now, which if I did, I’d be using a 7 year old processor at that point. No one in their right mind should have a phone that old.
I’m definitely keeping my eye out for Oneplus. Problem I had with them before though was that their UI was too flat and lacked transparent flourishes. That should change with iOS 26…
Also, why is the one plus pad so small…? Their ecosystem needs to be more feature aggressive.
“The child wasn’t injured” is categorically the stupidest excuse. Also, the child was 2 or 3.
As a severe child abuse survivor, I couldn’t be beaten daily or else I would’ve died or had serious and long lasting injury. You’re typically appeasing your abuser to get out of the beatings. The verbal abuse can still continue though. Please report your family and friends if you suspect child abuse; the child doesn’t deserve it and there are even physiological damages as a result of the anxiety of appeasement.
Google needs to get their shit together and put an actually competitive chip in their phones. I’m not buying a late cycle phone with a tensor processor that can’t even match the current snapdragon or A-series.
Oh absolutely. Latin America is super diverse; I just think at some point Hispanic whites won’t be categorized separately in the USA. At the moment, demographic information asks if you’re Hispanic or not as a separate question. It’s an amount of bending over backwards that’s crazy to me.
I don’t play drum/guitar mania, but the support is all there (albeit the guitar hero/taiko modes are all recently added so they’re not nearly as mature as dance/pump/technomotion, etc.
I spent 3 weeks in Thonotosassa in 2015, and Jesus Christ was downtown Tampa sad. It just was devoid of any culture or any reason to be down there. The Columbia Restaurant and Ybor City walk was fire though and made up for it a little bit; it just wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the city being dreary.
Miami was never liberal. It was always a sort of libertarian with certain key issues like anti communism, pro masculinity, pro protectionism, pro small government. We saw them swing right in 2024, but if those were major issues in past elections, we would’ve seen a red Miami sooner. Miami is full of people that have an attitude problem imho.
Type C has such a satisfying click when plugging something in.
